Move into new house on Monday. Tuesday go to the ER because she has non-specific belly pain and nausea.
Discharged with anti-emetics and a shot for pain

4am today, off to the ER with right sided sharp pain. 6 hours later, abscessed appendix removed and she's in recovery.

Good way to meet people I guess.

Thanks everyone. She's a warrior and an RN, so I know this was hurting when she said 'We better go'!

One day about fifteen years back, I went to ER with fairly significant pain. Sent home and told it was gas. Back at ER twelve hours later saying if this is gas, I'll eat my hat. Appendix came out very shortly thereafter. Surgeon: "Surprised this didn't rupture on you, son. That's about the nastiest one I've seen still intact."

Prayers up for an easy and complication-free recovery. Mine was laparoscopic and I healed up fast.

Prayers on the way for both of you. As a teenager while on family vacation camping in national park had a attack and was taken to hospital which ended with having to have same surgery. 24hrs later laying down in back of station wagon on way home. Took almost 1hr to get out of car and into my bed as I would not let anybody touch me. Wishing for a speedy recovery ......................... drill sgt.

Praying for a speedy recovery. I had mine go a couple years ago and it was not fun. She should be up in running in a week or two.

Mine burst when I was just out of high school and working, that day unloading hundreds of automotive batteries from a semi. My buddy thought I was trying to get out of the work.

The pain was unbearable but the doctor said it was 'nothing serious'. Three hours later I was in the ER. The staff had me up and walking the next day. I hope your wife has a quick recovery.

Been there, done that, it truly is painful.

Be prepared to help out around the house a little more the next week or so Wink

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Back in July I got to experience my own personal ambulance ride to the ER. Not the most enjoyable way to meet people.

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. We're all glad they caught it, but it's not good that they took two tries to figure it out. I hope you don't get double-billed for the ER and everything else....
