That statement by the church is one of the stupidest things I think I've ever heard. Who runs the church, the mentally retarded? So what happens when some mental midget cry baby scumbag complains the church is unwelcoming or scary because of all the white paint? Do they bend and re-paint in some unoffensive pastel? Because if one reads the original sources, they were not all deists. Not even close. Washington's revision started in 1926. Prior to that, people considered the writings and actions of the Founders themselves. Schoolchildren were familiar with their names. People looked at the good they did, the sacrifices they made, and treated them with respect. One need only visit some of the historical places related to our Nation's founding to know God had a hand in raising up this Nation. That is unless one is deaf, dumb, and blind, or has another agenda. | |||
