I understand Kent State Univ is wondering if "you need Jesus" is hate speech.

Well, this is an Episcopal Church, so they should probably change the name from "Christ Church" since they no longer believe that Jesus was The Christ, just a subversive with some good sayings.

quote:
Leaders at the church that George Washington attended decided that a plaque honoring the first president of the United States must be removed.

Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia will take down a memorial marking the pew where Washington sat with his family, saying it is not acceptable to all worshipers.

“The plaques in our sanctuary make some in our presence feel unsafe or unwelcome," leaders said, a reference to the fact that Washington was a slaveholder.

"Some visitors and guests who worship with us choose not to return because they receive an unintended message from the prominent presence of the plaques.”

So what happens when some mental midget cry baby scumbag complains the church is unwelcoming or scary because of all the white paint? Do they bend and re-paint in some unoffensive pastel? You and I both know the answer to that question.

We're currently living in a very bad version of the Twilight Zone.

This.. We should push it all the way to the logical liberal hippie douchebag conclusion and start screaming about everything. The MLK statue is offensive because it represents racial politics and divisiveness. Why does the White House have to be white? It's a symbol of the white man's oppressive nature and rape culture. This church needs to close because the church is an oppressive facist regime that makes me feel bad for what they determine to be "sins".

Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

They should also remove the cross and all references to Christianity because that could make non Christians feel unsafe or unwelcome at that church.

I was baptized in this very church and sat in that pew as a child. What has become of it sickens me. When history is destroyed to satisfy the misguided whims of a few society as a whole suffers.

I guess $1, $2, $20, and $50 bills in their Sunday collection plate are also offensive since they depict white-male slave-owners. Confused

It's not a "snap" - it's a completely justifiable response. We need to invoke a bitch-slap (or more as appropriate) to every offended snowflake, SJW and illegal and just say - tough shit - get over it. Leave our history and heritage alone.

My oath was and is, without repentance nor expiry.

Domestic, motherfuckers, do you understand what that means?

I do. I so solemnly do...

Same here! I took that oath several times, every time when I enlisted, re-enlisted.

The idiots who are running that "church" need to be thrown out on their asses!!!!

But then, what else can we expect since our education system has been hi-jacked by snow flake, feel good, basement dwelling assholes?

I too remember taking that oath, three months after I graduated from high school.

Has anyone yet suggested that we need to rename the capital of our country? You know it's only a matter of time.
