They can pass whatever they want.

They have no way to enforce it.

Virtue signaling only. Meaningless theatrics.

No kidding, now none of the law enforcement agencies in CA can be masked, like the people undercover infiltrating criminal organizations, cops arresting gang members.

It lets people doxx the cops, find their homes, so criminal organizations can threaten their families, kill a few wifes and kids to stop any enforcement....

Kentucky just witnessed the biggest drug bust in its history as ICE and DEA agents teamed up to crush a violent cartel network operating across the state. In a stunning operation, 51 cartel members were arrested and charged, their trafficking empire shattered overnight.

Elected Officials Arrested at Manhattan Immigration Facility

Federal law enforcement officers arrested state and city level officials after they refused orders to leave.

https://archive.ph/dVXXT/again...ion-facility-5917230

Federal agents arrested at least a dozen New York State elected officials inside a federal facility in Manhattan used to house illegal immigrants on Sept. 18. Dozens more individuals were arrested outside the building.

“Another day, another sanctuary politician pulling a stunt in [an] attempt to get their 15 minutes of fame while endangering [Department of Homeland Security] personnel and detainees,” Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary for the Homeland Security Department, said in a statement.

After refusing to obey law enforcement orders, eleven elected officials were detained after attempting to access an area on the 10th floor of the facility that was being used to temporarily house the illegal immigrants.

In the most recent incident, he entered 26 Federal Plaza with a group of protesters and media and declared that he was not leaving until the illegal immigrants detained in the cells were released.

According to the Homeland Security Department, among those currently incarcerated awaiting immigration proceedings or deportation are an MS-13 gang member, a man ordered removed from the country who was repeatedly arrested for flying drones near the White House, an individual convicted of illegally possessing a firearm, and multiple drug traffickers—one who was convicted with 2 kilograms of fentanyl, enough of the deadly opioid to kill approximately 1 million people, based on Drug Enforcement Agency calculations.

The group sat down on the ground and displayed an anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) banner that had ICE with a strike through it.
When the protesters refused to leave, they were detained in plastic zip-tie handcuffs.
The protesters’ behavior jeopardized the safety of federal agents and set a dangerous precedent, McLaughlin said.

“Brad Lander’s obsession with attacking the brave men and women of law enforcement, physically and rhetorically, must stop NOW,” she said.

“The men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day to arrest violent criminal illegal aliens to protect and defend the lives of American citizens. This type of rhetoric is contributing to the 1000% surge in assaults of ICE officers through this repeated vilification and demonization of ICE.”

Calling the matter a human rights issue, Lander told reporters after he was subsequently released that more oversight is needed.

“A federal judge has indicated that the federal law is not being followed — the conditions are cruel and inhumane, that ICE is not respecting their rights,” he said.
According to the protesters, the group was attempting to verify whether authorities were complying with a court order issued on Sept. 17 directing the federal agency to reduce overcrowding and improve living conditions.

After the arrests ensued, the building was placed on lockdown after a bomb threat was called in, according to McLaughlin.

Too bad he can’t just be tossed in a cell next to the MS-13 member (or maybe with?), then deported with the MS-13 member when the immigration case is finally complete. Might slow down some of the other grandstanders…

Demoralized Democrats Rally to Besiege ICE Center in Chicago

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...e-center-in-chicago/

A group of Chicago Democrats, demoralized over their powerlessness to stop ICE from enforcing the law, have taken to street violence in the Windy City today.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers clashed with protesters who were trying to blockade official vehicles, obstruct officers from coming and going, and even slashing police tires on Friday outside its Broadview facility, as the Trump administration continues its “Operation Midway Blitz” campaign to rid Chicago of “the worst of the worst” criminal illegals.

The protesters became so violent and obstructive that ICE officers tossed gas canisters among the crowd to disperse them and get them back to their protest lines.

Video shows protesters surging forward past protest lines to pressure ICE officers and hamper their movements.

The Palestinian activist and fired Media Matters operative only moved from Washington D.C. to Chicago last year when she decided to run for the Ninth Congressional District to depose sitting Democrat Jan Schakowsky. Thus far, Abughazalehm has never even voted in Chicago.

The wannabe congresswoman was not the only one to show up at the Chicago ICE facility on Friday. Chicago Alderman Andre Vasquez also told the media that he participated in the obstruction.

The DHS Statement added:

Early this morning, over a hundred rioters surrounded the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Broadview Processing Center— rioters assaulted law enforcement, threw tear gas cans, slashed tires of cars, blocked the entrance of the building, and trespassed on private property. Police under JB Pritzker’s sanctuary jurisdiction refused to answer multiple calls for assistance. So far, federal law enforcement arrested three rioters.

Throughout the morning, vans have shown up to pick up and drop off rioters. This is an organized effort to obstruct ICE law enforcement.

Our ICE enforcement officers are facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them. Disturbingly, in recent days, two ICE officers’ have had cars used as weapons against them.”

Newsom Signs Mask Ban Aimed at ICE; U.S. Atty: ‘No Jurisdiction’

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...tty-no-jurisdiction/

Once, he mandated masks; now, he bans them.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a ban Saturday that prohibits all law enforcement officers — except the California Highway Patrol, which protects former Vice President Kamala Harris — from wearing masks. The measure is aimed at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers — over whom acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said Newsom has “no jurisdiction.”

As Breitbart News reported last week, the bill, SB 627, was proposed by radical State Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) — the same politician responsible for such extreme legislation as the “sanctuary state” for transgender surgeries for minors. The true aim of the law, ostensibly aimed at protecting the public from “secret police,” is to make it easier for left-wing groups to retaliate against, and intimidate, ICE officials.

Newsom’s office boasted that he had signed “the nation’s strongest laws to protect residents from tactics being employed by President Trump and Stephen Miller’s secret police.” However, California has no authority to regulate ICE, due to the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause. Acting U.S. Attorney Essayli said that the law will have “no effect” on ICE operations, and dared Newsom to ban masks among criminals.

Ironically, Newsom’s California enforced some of the nation’s toughest mask and vaccine mandates during the coronavirus pandemic. When thousands of people flocked to the coast in Orange County in April 2020, on the first warm weekend of the year, Newsom ordered the beaches there closed, despite the low risk of outdoor transmission. (He himself dined, maskless, at the elite French Laundry despite his own guidelines.)

Sniper shoots three people, killing two ICE detainees at Dallas facility:

https://justthenews.com/nation..._campaign=newsletter

Three people were shot at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Dallas facility on Wednesday, including two detainees who were killed, according to a report.

Another person was injured in the shooting, police sources told WFAA.

Multiple victims are in critical condition, according to police, FOX 4 reported. The suspect was a sniper on a roof armed with a rifle, according to the news outlet's police sources.

The shooter, whom authorities identified as a white man, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head as agents approached.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that there was a shooting at the ICE facility in Dallas.

"Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities," Noem posted on X. "The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound. While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families."

As some on here know, I'm retired DFW-area law enforcement. I still have lots of friends on DPD and am familiar with the part of Dallas where this happened. Since this is a Federal incident, whatever info I get won't be much more than what any of us see on TV.

At this point, the local news people (most of whom are actually pretty sharp) are saying two on the ground dead plus the shooter dead. Shooter was in a nearby or adjacent high-rise with a rifle and apparently fired on agents and detainees on the ground. Reportedly, agents on the ground immediately saw the shooter up on the roof, may have gotten shots off at him. Shooter turned the gun on himself.
