FBI Director Kash Patel said Thursday that the bureau found a "high degree of pre-attack planning" in the home of the suspected shooter of the Dallas U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility.

"[FBI Dallas] and FBI HQ have been working 24/7 to seize devices, exploit data, and process writings obtained on location and in the subject's person/residence/bedroom," Patel posted on X.

"This @FBI is committed to providing timely updates, as promised: The perp downloaded a document titled 'Dallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management' containing a list of DHS facilities," he added. "He conducted multiple searches of ballistics and the 'Charlie Kirk Shot Video' between 9/23-9/24. Between 8/19-8/24, he searched apps that tracked the presence of ICE agents. One of the handwritten notes recovered read, 'Hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, "is there a sniper with AP rounds on that roof?"'

"Further accumulated evidence to this point indicates a high degree of pre-attack planning. The FBI will provide further updates when able," he added.

The suspected shooter of the Dallas ICE facility is 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, who shot himself after allegedly shooting three people. One of the three people shot was killed, while the others suffered injuries.

Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Dallas field office Joe Rothrock said during a press conference on Wednesday that the suspected shooter wrote anti-ICE messages on the rounds of ammunition.

The arrest took place during a targeted enforcement operation.

Roberts reportedly fled in his vehicle when ICE agents revealed their identity, leading to a chase that ended with him abandoning his car and hiding in nearby shrubbery. He was eventually located and taken into custody with the assistance of an Iowa State Police K9 unit.

During the arrest, agents discovered a loaded Glock 19, a fixed-blade hunting knife, and $3,000 in cash in Roberts’s vehicle. The presence of these items has prompted an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), as federal law prohibits individuals without legal status from possessing firearms and ammunition.

Roberts, who entered the U.S. on a student visa in 1999, had been ordered to be removed from the country in May 2024. Despite this, he continued to serve as the Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools without proper work authorization.

Your mind is in the wrong place. He didn't specify M1 Garand or CARBINE, he just said M1. M1 CARBINE does indeed use stripper clips as well as magazines. So he is correct and you are correct about the Garand, but he meant carbine even though he didn't specify.

No, the M1 Carbine cannot be loaded using stripper clips.

Its magazines can be, much like AR15 mags can be, but not the rifles themselves.

Besides, the stripper clipped ammo shown bears even less resemblance to a M1 Carbine magazine 10 round stripper clip and its diminutive .30 Carbine rounds than it does to a Garand enbloc clip.

So can they charge the Des Moines school board with employing an illegal? That is a crime. With no legal status, he would have been using a stolen social security number.

Time to enforce citizenship verification prior to employment and CRIMINAL penalties against HR and corporate officers that fail to use it.

My experience with elected school board members is that they are merely a rubber stamp of the superintendent. Or teachers unions. Or state association.

The parents and students dont even round out the top 10.
