The IDF said 170 drones were fired at Israel from Iran

Of 120 ballistic missiles fired at Israel from Iran, the U.S. officials told CBS News only five got through Israeli and U.S. air defenses and hit Israeli territory.

One U.S. official told CBS News that roughly half of the ballistic missiles failed on launch or crashed in flight .

Four missiles hit Israel's Nevatim Air Base, where Israeli F-35s are based, the U.S. officials said, adding this base was likely Iran's primary target, as it was believed to have been an Israeli F-35 that carried out a deadly strike on an Iranian consulate in Syria's capital on April 1.

Treasonous, at least wrt our treaties. I hope our allies are going ballistic in their private comms with our government. This would seem to be as scandalous as anything FJB has done.

SM-3 Ballistic Missile Interceptor Used for First Time in Combat, Officials Confirm
quote:
For the first time in combat, guided-missile destroyers fired missiles developed to intercept ballistic missiles during the U.S. response to the Iranian attack on Israel, USNI News has learned.

USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) and USS Carney (DDG-64), in the Eastern Mediterranean, fired four to seven Standard Missile 3s to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles headed toward Israeli targets over the weekend, two defense officials confirmed to USNI News on Monday.

Carney and Arleigh Burke have versions of the Aegis combat system that were modified to track and target ballistic missiles. The SPY-1D radar on the destroyers cues the SM-3 to attack the ballistic missile. The SM-3 transports a kill vehicle outside the atmosphere to intercept a ballistic missile near the height of its path from its launch point before it reenters the atmosphere to hit its target.

Both the destroyers were placed off the coast of Israel as part of the defensive measures against a Iranian strike in retaliation for an Israeli attack on an Iranian embassy in Syria.

It’s unclear what missiles the Iranians fired toward Israel, but, according to missile analyst Chris Carlson, the fact the Navy used SM-3s points to the likelihood the Iranians used some of its medium-range ballistic missiles with a range of up to 1,800 miles.

So that idiot said it was OK for Russia to invade Ukraine if it was just an "incursion" and OK for Iran to attack Israel as long as it is "within limits".

Biden needs the Muslim vote to win Michigan. And that's all that matters to his masters. Sickening.

The best thing they could do would be to attack, and blow up real good, any and all radical muslim leaders of that country and allow the people to take over again. Just do it, once and for all, and stop with all this pussy-footing around. The world and the region will be a much better and safer place without those murderous nutjobs.

I'm telling you, these people are fucking clowns. They're some of the most inept fighters in the world.

Being a psychopath doesn't make you a fierce warrior; it just means you're a psychopath, and we're talking about some pretty stupid psychopaths at that.

Iran humiliated, Hezbollah and Houthis 'completely stunned' by Israel attack failure, says Gen. Keane

Fox News senior strategic analyst Gen. Jack Keane (Ret.) joined "America's Newsroom" Monday to discuss Iran's failed missile and drone attack on Israel over the weekend and the "huge opportunity" for Israel and the United States to leverage the "humiliation." Keane said Iran's proxy forces, like Hezbollah and the Houthi rebels, are likely "stunned" by Tehran's inability to effectively strike Israel.

JACK KEANE: Well, they [Hezbollah] have to be stunned, frankly, because they have been urging Iran to get more involved in what they are doing. They wanted more direct assistance from Iran, and they finally got it. But what happened is it was historic, as you mentioned previously, because Iran has never invaded Israel before or fired on them consequentially. But the reality is, it was an overwhelming defeat for Iran and a humiliation. Their national leaders certainly humiliated, the IRGC humiliated. And I believe the proxies are completely stunned by the results that Iran was not able to achieve anything other than prove their willingness to attack Israel. And yes, I think there's a huge opportunity here for Israel and the United States going forward, to leverage this.

Israel fended off a furious attack on Saturday with the help of powerful allies in the region and around the world.

Multiple countries came together to help fend off over 300 drones and missiles launched at Israel from Iran, with the Israeli Defense Forces claiming that roughly 99% of the attack had been thwarted by their forces and allies.

"At my direction, to support the defense of Israel, the U.S. military moved aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region over the course of the past week. Thanks to these deployments and the extraordinary skill of our servicemembers, we helped Israel take down nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles," President Biden said in a statement condemning the Iranian attack.

But the U.S. was not the only country to step up in the defense of Israel, with France, Jordan and the United Kingdom also playing roles in intercepting the attack.

It seems appropriate to show them what a real attack looks like. Put the fear of god into them.

Show them what modern weapons can do when used against them. Let them feel defenseless against a superior adversary.

Maybe they'd think twice before attacking again.

Yup. We were dropping bombs through building hatches waaay back in Desert Storm. With camera footage up to impact. Imagine the hardware we have now. If they weren’t able to flee and hide where Israeli spies could find them, we could cut the head off of the Iranian snake overnight. Once isolated and cut off from future arms deliveries, the Houthi and hezbollah assholes would be eradicated in short order. I truly believe the Middle East would quietly applaud the act.

This is how revenge is taken through terrorism

Before killing the target, Mossad would send bouquets
with the words "To remind us that we neither forget nor forgive", after which 11 bullets would be fired into the terrorist's body.
Israel's Prime Minister Golda Meir was a 75-year-old woman. Who told the whole world what are the consequences of attacking Israeli citizens?
On September 5, 1972, during the Olympic Games in Germany, Palestine Liberation Organization terrorists killed 11 Israeli players in a foreign country. The whole country was angry with this incident and people were sad. But Israel's grandmother Golda Meir did not beat her chest, that old woman did not cry, rather she did something that not only the Palestinian terrorists, but terrorists all over the world were shocked.
On the orders of Golda Meir, within just 48 hours of the killing of its players, the Israeli army entered Syria and Lebanon and carried out air strikes on 10 Palestinian camps, killing 200 terrorists and civilians.
Old Golda Meir did not stop here, even after 200 deaths the fire of revenge in her heart did not subside.
What Golda Meir did after this shook the whole world. Golda Meir launched Operation Wrath of God to take revenge on the Israeli players. The responsibility for this was given to Israel's most dreaded intelligence agency Mossad.
Mossad searched the world for the next 7 years and killed all 35 terrorists associated with the massacre of their players.
Before killing the target, Mossad would send bouquets
with the words "To remind us that we neither forget nor forgive", after which 11 bullets would be fired into the terrorist's body. 11 bullets because terrorists had killed 11 Israeli players.
The Mossad ran Operation Wrath of God for a further 20 years. And kept eliminating the Palestinian terrorists spread across the world. That's why Golda Meir was called the Iron Lady, who was the grandmother of Israel.

Google fires 28 employees involved in sit-in protest over $1.2B Israel contract

https://nypost.com/2024/04/17/...-2b-israel-contract/

Google has fired 28 employees over their participation in a 10-hour sit-in at the search giant’s offices in New York and Sunnyvale, California, to protest the company’s business ties with the Israel government, The Post has learned.

The pro-Palestinian staffers — who had donned traditional Arab headscarves as they stormed and occupied the office of a top executive in California on Tuesday — were terminated late Wednesday after an internal investigation, Google vice president of global security Chris Rackow said in a companywide memo.

“They took over office spaces, defaced our property, and physically impeded the work of other Googlers,” Rackow wrote in the memo obtained by The Post. “Their behavior was unacceptable, extremely disruptive, and made co-workers feel threatened.”

In New York, protesters had occupied the 10th floor of Google’s offices in the Chelsea section of Manhattan as part of a protest that also extended to the company’s offices in Seattle for what it called “No Tech for Genocide Day of Action.”

“Behavior like this has no place in our workplace and we will not tolerate it,” Rackow wrote. “It clearly violates multiple policies that all employees must adhere to – including our code of conduct and policy on harassment, discrimination, retaliation, standards of conduct, and workplace concerns.”

Rackow added that the company “takes this extremely seriously, and we will continue to apply our longstanding policies to take action against disruptive behavior – up to and including termination.”

Yep. The current regime is also on very thin ice internally in Iran. Inflation is nuts due to sanctions, the people are unhappy and ready to toss out the mullahs and the only slightly redeeming quality is that they've protected the country from a wide-spread war since cessation of the war with Iraq in the late 80's.

Seems that they needed to strike to save face and appear to be in charge and in power lest a neighboring country or terror group (or their own population) decide they'd rather run the place. Thusly, they telegraphed everything they would do well ahead of time. Iran clearly didn't want to open a war with Israel.

Lastly, given the sanctions, isolation and inflation....Iran likely cannot afford to pay to restock their munitions should they have launched an effective strike. Its sabre-rattling only, for appearances. Israel is going to give it back to them 100-fold.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/...-israel-aid-n2637978

House leadership seeks to move forward with a series of supplemental security funding bills to provide new taxpayer-funded aid to Israel and Ukraine, along with other policies aimed at strengthening U.S. security.

"This section totals $26.38 billion to support Israel in its effort to defend itself against Iran and its proxies, and to reimburse U.S. military operations in response to recent attacks,"
$4 billion to replenish Iron Dome and David's Sling missile defense systems.
$1.2 billion for the Iron Beam defense system to counter short-range rockets and mortar threats.
$3.5 billion for the procurement of advanced weapons systems, defense articles, and defense services through the Foreign Military Financing Program.
$1 billion to enhance the production and development of artillery and critical munitions.
$4.4 billion to replenish defense articles and defense services provided to Israel.
$2.4 billion for current U.S. military operations in the region in response to recent attacks.
Provides additional flexibility for transfers of defense articles to Israel from U.S. stockpiles held abroad.
Prohibits funds to the United Nationals Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

but then

the bill allocates $5,655,000,000 for "International Disaster Assistance" to "address humanitarian needs, including the provision of emergency food and shelter, of vulnerable populations and communities" along with $3,495,000,000 for "Migration and Refugee Assistance" to "address humanitarian needs of vulnerable populations and communities."

Add up those two items and you get $9,150,000,000 worth of taxpayer dollars going to "vulnerable populations."

According to Clyde, "GOP leadership wants to hide the fact that the Israel aid bill allocates +$9 billion in humanitarian aid to Gaza."

For those still not convinced that the money would end up helping the barbaric terrorists who sparked the war, President Joe Biden's statement from Wednesday should clear things up

"I strongly support this package to get critical support to Israel and Ukraine, provide desperately needed humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, and bolster security and stability in the Indo-Pacific."

Iran launches $70 million of hardware at Israel and our share of replenishing what was used to shoot that hardware down is 137x as much or $9.6 billion? Someone needs to sharpen their pencil.
