We moved the office today. Dragging file cabinets up to a second floor sucked.

When we were moving the next-to-last cabinet, I told my boss that this was the penultimate one. He looked at me like I was from the moon.

Saw a late 1980’s Cadillac Deville on the road today. Haven’t seen one of those in at least ten years.

I made a bottle opener from a bottle opener.
Took an old school paint can/bottle opener and cut off the lid lifter part.
Drilled a hole in a scrap Oak dowel and press fit the bottle opener end and dowel together.

Potato should have an “e” in the singular. I think Dan Quayle was right all along, even if the world disagrees.

How does a dog that cost 30 bucks as a puppy turn into a 300 dollar expense every time he goes to the Vet?

Why do i feel like my 6ft ladder is about 2 ft short? But I refuse to buy a new ladder.

Ode to Spot

Felis catus is your taxonomic nomenclature,
An endothermic quadruped, carnivorous by nature;
Your visual, olfactory, and auditory senses
Contribute to your hunting skills and natural defenses.

I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations,
A singular development of cat communications
That obviates your basic hedonistic predilection
For a rhythmic stroking of your fur to demonstrate affection.

A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents;
You would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance.
And when not being utilized to aid in locomotion,
It often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.

O Spot, the complex levels of behavior you display
Connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array.
And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,
I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.

If you're goin' through hell, keep on going.
Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there.

I find all LED bulbs to be 'dimmable'.
After 12-14 months the light output is much dimmer.

And the stupid things don't last much longer in my house than an old-fashioned incandescent bulb.

Put in my first non-white toilet today, the first in a minimum of 14 years, and the last one was my house when I replaced my Ice Gray Kohler for the identical toilet in the higher model as I was anticipating hip surgery.

Phone rang today and it was a number i did not recognize. I answered the phone “mushi-mushi” (some of you know) and after the briefest of pauses, I got a recorded Japanese telemarking ad for what I can only guess was my extended warranty on my car.

I have to admit, I was actually pretty impressed that they are set up to give you their pitch in the language in which you answered the phone.

Very nice. Although one of my cats is tailless and manages to be quite acrobatic.
