I think he will choose a relatively unknown black female as a running mate. Someone who is not known on the national stage.

Conservative Behind Enemy Lines |
I think you're onto something here. The Democrat voter is more easily convinced to waste his/her vote on an unknown. "What they don't know won't hurt 'em" actually works with Dem voters. Of all the enemies that the American citizen faces, the Democrat Party is the very worst.

She doesn't want it. Never did, never will. To add to Para's post, she loathed the political life, loathed life in the WH. Reportedly she was ecstatic when Obama's 2nd term ended, out and away from the public microscope, while past First Ladies had sadness at the end. And now she and Kaptain Kenya have a production deal in Hollywood; now they're a bigger deal than their model couple, Jay-Z and Bouncy Girl. They have a million mansions. They have a gazillion dollars, they are loved by the sheep and the media. And to give all of this up to play Ed McMahon to Shotgun Joe? [bolding mine]. I understand the Obama net worth has gone up 50 fold since entering the White House. I wonder how much of that was gained honorably?? "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. When it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it....While it lies there, it needs no constitution, no law, no court to save it" - Judge Learned Hand, May 1944

The power that comes from a high level political position is worth more than money. The money comes from their contacts and influence they wielded while in office. The clintons, obamas and bidens are the perfect example.

Para, you give many reasons why Michelle Obama would not do it. And I agree with you that she has many reasons NOT to do it. I'm not saying she will do it. If you re-read my post, all I'm saying is that it's likely part of the reason Biden hasn't yet announced a VP pick. I think the Biden people really want her and are pulling out all the stops to try to convince her. They know that having Michelle Obama on the ticket is Biden's best and perhaps only chance at winning. If I were placing a bet, today, on who Biden's VP pick will be... my money would be on Susan Rice. Joe Biden delays VP announcement another week https://nypost.com/2020/08/01/...cement-another-week/ "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

I firmly believe there won't be a VP announcement until mid to late September at the earliest. In order to appease the Bernie faction they are going to pick an outright communist and they want to keep that person away from RNC attacks as long as possible. The probably figure keeping Joe in the basement isn't hurting so why not wait until the last minute to announce the VP?

If Michele O were willing, they would already have announced. Biden needs someone with her following desperately. She won't do it especially with Biden. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

Just got done doing the weekly 'burn a couple hundo' trip to the grocery store. As per usual, took a spin past the book/magazine rack. There was actually a fairly thick (maybe 80 pg) 'commemorative-like' magazine on shelf about his campaign that towards the end was writing as if he had already won the presidency. Still funny... Personally, I think Uncle Joe selecting Kamala is great news for us and the Trump campaign and we should all stay away from the eligibility issue (which is a loser). Harris isn't even liked by black voters, and has a laundry list of failings the Trump campaign can savage her with. None of Uncle Joe's options seem especially impressive or helpful for his campaign, but I think Harris is especially fail worthy. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. ^^^ You know what the best part of that would be? Harris would be vilified as 'Skank In Chief' or something, and the feminists would feel compelled to defend her. Once they started defending her they'd have to treat her as a rallying point so often that they'd eventually raise her to the status of some kind of feminist icon. At that point the Dems would be stuck her and her BS forever.

I'm pretty sure it'll be Harris. Every Dem voter knows that Biden is a scam to get his veep choice as the first woman president. The other black women on his list are unknowns and not remotely polished and ready for national press. Furthermore, none of them were even on the national primary ballot. That's too jaded a stretch for even the most jaded. Harris it is. Warren at the outside, but Biden pretty much fucked himself into a corner by saying "my choice will be an XYZ". ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

I don't know about that. Susan Rice is at least as viable as Harris is, and has a reasonably impressive resume. Plus, Biden's crossed his fingers and said that while he was considering four black women, there were other women on his list of candidates as well. That means someone like Tammy Duckworth or Gretchen Whitmer could still be in play.

Like in sports- Instant Replay= Times have changed dramatically and for the worse since this article. This aspect of her would negate her appeal as VP.
Harris’s record as a prosecutor was representative of a politics of the past. The nation has moved on. https://theappeal.org/kamala-h...er-presidential-run/ ____________________________________________________ The butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart.
