The blatant dishonesty of this argument always gives me pause. People who speak this way like to deal in the abstract. They say things like "the military" or "the police", without ever giving thought to the concept that there is flesh-and-blood backing those terms.

As if no person is flying that F-15. It's just this non-sentient death machine that does our bidding.

And that's because once you realize who "they" are, who the flesh-and-blood of these organizations are, the masturbatory dream of confiscation is smashed.

"They" are our brothers and sisters. They are our children. Maybe not the boot-lickers in the Pentagon, or the political hack police chiefs, but the real men and women on the ground.

What do you think is going to happen when they're ordered to turn their guns on Americans? What is the most plausible outcome of such a scenario?

Not New Orleans during Katrina 20 years ago, real talk - right now - nationwide. Game it out and see what you come up with. I predict a majority of liberals would be shocked to find out where "the military" and "the police" and a few hundred thousand combat vets really stand if push came to shove.

74 million Trump voters from 2020 (and many more who would support him since) are now enemies of this country and subject to military action to correct their errant ways (i.e. American and the US Constitution first)? Really? There's only one place this sort of BS leads, and I hate this POS for hastening this country down that path.

If Biden thinks the military and national guard is going to take up arms against American citizens to defend globalist backed leftists, they are sadly mistaken. They ARE themselves Americans. Then there’s the fact that the supposedly “bad” Americans outnumber the military by orders of magnitude. Large scale weapons of war only work against large, identifiable military assets.

Is this the same government that went apoplectic when a few UNARMED citizens questioned election results on Jan 6?

Ironic, isn't it?

Anybody see Joepeddo come wandering into the meeting chaired by “Dr.” Jill, and then say “Whatever she says I agree with”? And they wonder why sane people don’t really think he’s in charge of anything.

As one pundit said, don’t try to exercise your Constitutional rights because we the all powerful government can stop you. Only such a piece of shit as Biden would say such a thing.

Lisa Boothe pointed out something very true the other night on FNC.

“The only reason anyone thinks Joe Biden is a good man is because he has suffered so much loss, and he uses that loss, he uses that grief for political purposes as both a shield and a sword as we saw when he got 13 service members killed and then tried to invoke the death of his late son, who died of cancer. He did not die in the line of duty.”

“One of the biggest lies we were ever told is that Joe Biden is a good man. He is a terrible president. Even worse human being,” Boothe concluded.

Nah, I don't think it even gets that far. Who is going to prep, fuel, load ordnance, and fly military aircraft against what would essentially be family and friends? Answer: No one. These big weapons are useless without dozens of human beings managing them, and those dozens of humans aren't going to be managing anything if the order is to turn those weapons on Americans on American soil. Joey Bag of Stupid's got nothing.

Biden seeks $47B for Ukraine, COVID-19, monkeypox, disasters

https://apnews.com/article/rus...32baa2fab90001a11148

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden is asking Congress to provide more than $47 billion in emergency dollars that would go toward the war in Ukraine, the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ongoing monkeypox outbreak and help for recent natural disasters in Kentucky and other states.

The request, which comes as lawmakers are preparing to return to Washington and fund the government, seeks $13.7 billion related to Ukraine, including money for equipment, intelligence support and direct budgetary support. Shalanda Young, the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, said that more than three-fourths of the $40 billion approved by Congress earlier this year has already been disbursed or committed.

“We have rallied the world to support the people of Ukraine as they defend their democracy and we cannot allow that support to Ukraine to run dry,” Young said in a blog post.

The White House request will play into congressional budget negotiations in the coming weeks as financing for federal agencies is set to run out Sept. 30. Both parties will be seeking to avoid a government shutdown in the weeks before the midterm elections, but they will have to work out differences over issues like the COVID-19 aid, which has been a sticking point for many months as the White House has said more money is needed for vaccines and testing and Republicans have pointed to the trillions that have already been approved.

In Friday’s request, the White House is seeking $7.1 billion to procure additional vaccines and for replenishing personal protective equipment in the Strategic National Stockpile, among other measures. Another $8 billion would go to accelerate research for next-generation vaccines and therapeutics.

Biden is also seeking $2 billion to continue COVID-19 testing programs, including an initiative to distribute free at-home tests that ended on Friday as the government says it is running short on funds. White House officials say they have some tests left in the stockpile, but not enough to provide free tests if cases sharply increase.

Congress has not moved forward on similar administration requests for the COVID-19 response amid the partisan stalemate.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the White House has repeatedly warned that there would be trade-offs if that money wasn’t approved, and “that is precisely what happened.” The lack of free testing kits, for example, “leaves our domestic testing capacity diminished for a potential fall surge,” she said.

The administration is also asking for $4.5 billion to bolster its efforts to fight monkeypox amid the ongoing outbreak. Officials said they have already depleted significant reserves from the national stockpile to provide over 1.1 million vials of vaccine.

The money would help ensure access to vaccinations, testing and treatment, and also help fund the global effort to fight the disease, administration officials said.

For disaster relief, the White House is asking for $6.5 billion, including money for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s disaster relief fund, farmers affected by weather events and efforts to increase the resilience of the electric grid. As part of that request, the administration is also asking for $1.4 billion to address unmet disaster recovery needs in several states, including for recent devastating floods in Kentucky.

Friday Humor: White House Takes Credit For Creating 10 Billion Jobs

https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...ting-10-billion-jobs

It appears Common Core math has crept its way into the highest echelons of the Biden administration.

On Friday, White House spox Karine Jean-Pierre attempted to actually answer a question - except, while her boss can't read a teleprompter - Jean-Pierre apparently can't read a binder when she's not deflecting.

When asked what she thinks about a variety of terrible metrics since Biden took office, she panicked and attempted to rattle off a list of economic accomplishments, which did not go well.

"Under President Biden, student test scores has gone backwards, inflation has gone the wrong direction, workers' real wages have come down. We're seeing spending on programs and promised that at some point in the future, the transition will be over. What, in the last 20 months, where's the progress?" asked Fox Business correspondent Edward Lawrence.

After rattling off some broad brush strokes, Lawrence reiterates: "But inflation still outpaces wages," to which Pierre turned to her trusty binder of accomplishments, where she noted that the White House has created "nearly ten-thousand million jobs," which she bragged was "the fastest job growth in history - so you're asking me 'where's the success?'"

Obama Appointed Judge Rules in Favor of Biden on Wyoming Oil Lease Pause

https://www.theepochtimes.com/...hTXJBlh6TAgK4JGFMO2t

A federal judge sided with the Biden administration in a lawsuit related to the government halting oil and gas leases in the state of Wyoming.

On Jan. 27, 2021, President Joe Biden issued an executive order instructing the Department of the Interior (DOI) to temporarily pause all new oil and gas leases on federal lands and offshore waters until an assessment is completed to determine the potential “climate and other impacts” of such actions. The DOI secretary postponed most scheduled leases in Q1 2021, and did not carry out any lease sales in Q2. The Mineral Leasing Act (MLA) of 1920 grants authority to the DOI secretary to lease federal land for developing natural resources.

The Petroleum Association of Wyoming and the Western Energy Alliance filed a lawsuit against the DOI’s actions on Jan. 27, 2021. On March 24, 2021, the state of Wyoming filed its lawsuit. Both cases were then consolidated into one.

Petitioners alleged that the DOI’s actions were not in line with governing law, were arbitrary or capricious, and were an abuse of discretion.

U.S. District Judge Scott W. Skavdahl looked at whether the industry petitioners and the state of Wyoming had the standing to challenge the DOI regarding its leasing actions in the first two quarters of 2021.

In his ruling (pdf), the judge pointed out that the lease postponement or cancellation decisions taken by the DOI only took place after Jan. 27, 2021, when the two industry petitioners had filed the lawsuit. As a result, the industry petitioners lacked the standing to challenge the DOI’s actions, Skavdahl judged.

With regard to the state of Wyoming, Skavdahl noted that the DOI had postponed all March 2021 lease sales as of March 24 when the petitioner filed its lawsuit. As such, Wyoming only has standing to challenge the DOI’s postponement of March 2021 lease sales and not “anything beyond the first-quarter lease sale postponements in this lawsuit.”

Blocking Biden’s Oil Lease Pause
Skavdahl’s ruling comes weeks after another federal judge issued a permanent injunction against Biden’s temporary halt of oil and gas leases.

Terry Doughty, U.S. district judge for the Western District of Louisiana, ruled on Aug. 18 that the White House overreached itself with the ban. The judgment came as part of a lawsuit filed by 13 states. The judge noted that the MLA requires the DOI to hold lease sales on eligible lands.

“By stopping the process, the agencies are in effect amending two Congressional statutes. Neither the OCSLA (Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act) nor the MLA gives the Government Defendants’ agencies the authority to implement a Stop of lease sales,” Doughty, a Trump appointee, said in the ruling.

However, Doughty’s ruling only applies to the 13 states involved in the case and not to Wyoming as the state was not a party in the lawsuit.
