They WANT it, you see? That's all that matters to them.

We are around 100 years past Congress giving a crap about a system of limited/enumerated Federal power.

They could pass a law that said "Abortion is allowed and legal in all 50 States."

I'm not so sure the Supreme Court would rule against it. Roberts would likely support that, Kavanaugh might.

Nope, they already said that and SCOTUS said no.

It's strictly a State issue at this point.

Infuriating

https://www.foxnews.com/us/mar...supreme-court-letter

The Republican governors of Virginia and Maryland have responded to a letter from the Supreme Court's top-ranking security official calling on them to utilize police and law enforcement to prevent picketing at the homes of justices.

"The governor agrees with the Marshal that the threatening activity outside the Justices' homes has increased," Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin spokesperson Christian Martinez said in response to a letter from Supreme Court Marshal Gail Curley calling on the governor to "enforce state law" that prohibits picketing outside the homes of the justices.

"He welcomes the Marshal of the Supreme Court's request for Fairfax County to enforce state law as they are the primary enforcement authority for the state statute," the statement added.

Youngkin also called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to "do his job" by "enforcing the much more robust federal law."

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan also received a letter from Curley requesting that the "Maryland State Police, in conjunction with local authorities as appropriate, enforce laws that prohibit picketing outside of the homes of Supreme Court Justices who live in Maryland."

"Two months ago, Governor Hogan and Governor Youngkin sent a letter calling on Attorney General Garland to enforce the clear and unambiguous federal statutes on the books that prohibit picketing at judges' residences," Ricci wrote. "A month later, hours after an assassination attempt on Justice Kavanaugh, the Department of Justice finally responded, declining to enforce the laws ."

It is illegal under federal law to attempt to influence a judge's ruling or interfere with the discharge of their duty. The Justice Department, however, has thus far refused to interfere with demonstrators outside the homes of several Supreme Court justices, including Clarence Thomas, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh.

While the DOJ has provided security at the justices' homes, they have allowed protests and picketing to continue unimpeded.

^ One of the few useful things the Turtle has done is keep that POS Garland from becoming a SC Justice.

Why is it that every single appointee, or member of this administration is either blatantly anti-American, totally incompetent, or just plain Democrat level stupid?

There's no way in hell they are going to let Joe Biden run in 2024 if he's even lucid enough to do so:

Joe Biden is so toxic that Democrats are getting desperate enough to go crawling back to Hillary.

For months, President Joe Biden has repeatedly tapped the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and claimed it was helping to ease the pain at the pump. Not only has the depletion of the emergency supply not decreased gas prices, we're learning the supply is being sold to foreign countries.

"More than 5 million barrels of oil that were part of a historic U.S. emergency oil reserves release aimed at lowering domestic fuel prices were exported to Europe and Asia last month, according to data and sources, even as U.S. gasoline and diesel prices touched record highs," Reuters reports. "The export of crude and fuel is blunting the impact of the moves by U.S. President Joe Biden designed to lower record pump prices."

While Biden has been selling off America's reserve oil, he's been publicly berating oil companies and private gas station owners. The White House has also classified oil producers as unpatriotic.

Joe Biden Is Sending U.S. Reserve Oil Overseas As Americans Cope With Record Gas Prices

https://thefederalist.com/2022...h-record-gas-prices/

More than 5 million barrels of oil from President Joe Biden’s “unprecedented” release from the nation’s emergency petroleum reserves were shipped overseas last month as domestic energy prices reached record highs amid roaring inflation.

According to Reuters, the fuel was exported to Europe and Asia as American consumers coped with a $5 average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline and $5.81 for diesel.

“The [Strategic Petroleum Reserve] remains a critical energy security tool to address global crude oil supply disruptions,” a spokesman for the Department of Energy told Reuters in a statement. The release to overseas nations, the representative added, helped stable the supply of oil, with shipments to the Netherlands, India, and China. Another ship is expected to carry American reserve oil overseas later this month.

On the final day of March, Biden ordered that 1 million barrels of oil be released from the nation’s emergency reserves for 180 days, which would strategically coincide with the timing of the November midterms, as the president faces political blowback for engineering high energy prices. Democrats with razor-thin majorities in both chambers are already bracing for a hostile election season since the president’s party has historically suffered tremendous losses in the first midterms.

Biden’s latest release marked the third time the White House has ordered that oil be taken from the strategic reserves. At his State of the Union address in March, Biden announced the release of 30 million barrels of American petroleum in a move coordinated with other countries tapping their own reserves to bring a total of 60 million barrels onto the market after Russia launched war on Ukraine. Western allies including the United States have since implemented embargoes on Russian oil, the world’s third-largest producer, which supplies 11 percent of the globe’s petroleum.

Last fall, the president released 50 million barrels of oil from the emergency reserves to artificially suppress rising gas prices going into the Thanksgiving holiday.

The consequences of Biden’s reserve drawdowns have been minimal to blunt high gas prices in a nation that uses about 20 million barrels per day, according to the Energy Information Administration. In fact, each release has been followed by steep increases at the pump.

By the end of Biden’s six-month release, the White House will have tapped 260 million barrels from the emergency reserves within two years of his inauguration, leaving the stockpile at its lowest level since 1986. In May, the Department of Energy announced plans to replenish only 60 million barrels of what’s been released despite an authorized storage capacity of 714 million barrels.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration is doubling down on its energy policies with an axe to the fossil fuel industry. On Friday, the Department of the Interior blocked new offshore drilling projects in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico after cancelling leases in each region two months ago.

Last week, Biden’s director of the National Economic Council, Brian Deese, said the administration’s refusal to unleash American oil production is intended to cement the “liberal world order.”

No National Politician Will Go There – However, at Least Tucker Carlson Does

One of the most frustrating aspects to our current state of national affairs is that no politician will articulate the basic commonsense problem, and how the people handling Joe Biden are directly to blame for it. Instead, DC and national politicians talk around it, all of them pretending not to know.

However, at least there is one voice in Tucker Carlson who articulates the economic and political reality in a framework that most can understand.

In his opening monologue tonight, Carlson succinctly points out how the current state of economic anxiety is directly the result of Joe Biden chasing the Green New Deal initiatives that progressive, communist democrats have advocated for years.
WATCH:

The energy crisis is intentional. The food crisis is intentional. Everything that is happening domestically in our economic crisis is happening intentionally. All of the problems are the result of intentional policy decisions.
