According to Newsweek, an audit tool provided by SparkToro found that 49.3% of accounts following @POTUS, who officially received the most votes in US history, are "fake followers."

The analysis was based on several factors, including 'location issues, default profile images and new users,' according to the report.

SparkToro defines fake followers as "accounts that are unreachable and will not see the account's tweets (either because they're spam, bots, propaganda, etc. or because they're no longer active on Twitter)."

The software company's tool also found that Biden's account has more fake followers than most. -Newsweek

The topic of fake accounts has resurfaced following Elon Musk's deal to purchase the social media giant for $44 billion.

On Tuesday, Musk said the deal "cannot move forward" until CEO Parag Agrawal publicly proves that 5% or less of Twitter accounts are "fake/spam," as his offer "was based on Twitter's SEC filings being accurate.

On Monday, Agrawal posted a lengthy Twitter screed in which he essentially said he couldn't reveal how many users are actually fake.

"Unfortunately, we don’t believe that this specific estimation can be performed externally, given the critical need to use both public and private information (which we can’t share)," to which Musk replied with a poo emoji and asked "So how do advertisers know what they’re getting for their money? This is fundamental to the financial health of Twitter."

Shares of Twitter are now trading under its pre-Musk announcement price of $39.31.

An audit of President Joe Biden's Twitter account found that nearly half of his 22.2 million followers are fake.

Hunter Biden and his company brought in around $11 million over a five-year span, most of which was while his father was Vice President of the United States, according to an analysis by of his abandoned laptop by NBC News obtained through Rudy Giuliani.

Perhaps most interesting is the harsh tone NBC takes with the first son...

The documents and the analysis, which don’t show what he did to earn millions from his Chinese partners, raise questions about national security, business ethics and potential legal exposure. In December 2020, Biden acknowledged in a statement that he was the subject of a federal investigation into his taxes. NBC News was first to report that an ex-business partner had warned Biden he should amend his tax returns to disclose $400,000 in income from the Ukrainian firm, Burisma. GOP congressional sources also say that if Republicans take back the House this fall, they’ll demand more documents and probe whether any of Biden’s income went to his father, President Joe Biden. -NBC News

$5.8 million of Biden's income - more than half his total earnings over the five years - came from two deals with Chinese business interests. The most lucrative of the two was a consulting relationship with a powerful (and now missing) CCP-linked Chinese businessman, Ye Jianming, who's company, CEFC, paid $4,790,375.25 to Biden's Owasco PC over the course of about one year. Jianming was accused by Chinese prosecutors of "economic crimes" in 2018, and hasn't been seen in public since he was detained.

"No government ethics rules apply to him," said Walter Shaub, a former director of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics who is now an ethics expert with the Project on Government Oversight, who added that "it’s imperative that no one at DOJ and no one at the White House interfere with the criminal investigation in Delaware."

Shaub has previously raised questions over Hunter's lucrative 'art' sales being a method for laundering influence.

And according to the FBI's former assistant director for counterintelligence, Frank Figliuzzi, there's a national security risk when the CCP can get close to people like Biden.

"It’s all about access and influence, and if you can compromise someone with both access and influence, that’s even better," he said, adding "Better still if that target has already compromised himself."

An analysis of Hunter's expenses reveal over $200,000 per month from October 2017 through February 2018 on everything from Porsche payments, dental work, cash withdrawals and luxury hotel rooms - which Biden has admitted he used on drugs and partying with strangers who often stole from him.

Hunter also struggled to keep current on multiple mortgages, alimony, and child support payments to his ex-wife.

Things got so bad that Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris, who began advising Hunter in 2020, arranged to pay off around $2 million owed to the IRS (which legal experts say doesn't let Hunter off the hook for criminal liability, or necessarily erase his debts).

NBC News analyst Chuck Rosenberg, a former Justice Department official, said that Biden’s paying what he owes could even be seen as an admission of criminal violations. Not paying taxes for many years, rather than one or two, Rosenberg said, helps establish intent, which can otherwise be a struggle for prosecutors in white-collar cases.

Paying the bill, Rosenberg said, might help Biden if he faced sentencing and “mitigate some of the damage, but it doesn’t undo the crime. That would be like returning money to a bank that you robbed. You still robbed the bank.” -NBC News

According to a Senate GOP report on Hunter's finances, CEFC was one of three firms involved in certain transactions that were "among those identified as potential efforts to layer funds."

The U.S. Treasury Financial Crimes Enforcement Network describes the layering of funds as “separating the illegally obtained money from its criminal source by layering it through a series of financial transactions, which makes it difficult to trace the money back to its original source.”

But the report doesn’t say whether or not Hunter Biden was personally involved in any transactions that were suggested to involve “layering.” -NBC News

Hunter also worked for Jianming associate Patrick Ho, who was convicted in US federal court of bribery in relations to oil deals in Chad and Uganda starting in September 2014. A jury found that Ho - while employed by CEFC - bribed or attempted to bribe officials to the tune of $2 million, and was sentenced to three years in prison on March 2019.

Biden has denied any illegal activity and says he's "cooperating completely" with a federal investigation in Delaware.

"And I’m absolutely certain, 100 percent certain," said Hunter, "that at the end of the investigation, I will be cleared of any wrongdoing."

If this passes the Senate companies will just stop selling products instead of losing money. Prices will stay high and there will be more shortages. Then what, rationing?

The Republicans should give the Democrats a win on this one and then sit back and watch the train wreck and the Democrat implosion. The Democrats are trying to shift the blame of high prices to Republicans who they will say (untruthfully) sided with the oil companies to keep prices high. House Passes Fuel Price-Gouging Measure
Republican concerns over price controls echoed by prominent economists

The House of Representatives passed the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act by a vote of 217–207 on May 19, moving the country closer to greater government involvement in energy markets as gasoline prices soar to new heights.

The legislation, H.R. 7688, would allow President Joe Biden to declare an “energy emergency.”

Such an emergency would empower the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to target people who sell fuel at a price that’s judged to be “unconscionably excessive” or that “indicates the seller is exploiting the circumstances related to an energy emergency to increase prices unreasonably.”

That presidential emergency proclamation would last 30 days, but could be renewed indefinitely “as the president deems appropriate.”

The measure would also prioritize FTC enforcement actions against firms with $500 million or more in annual wholesale or retail consumer fuel sales.

While 217 Democrats voted for the legislation, 203 Republicans and four Democrats voted against it.

During the debate, Democrats and Republicans clashed over the causes of record-high gasoline prices.

While Republicans emphasized new regulations and decisions against domestic energy under the Biden administration, Democrats pointed out that record-breaking energy prices have been accompanied by billions of dollars in profit for oil and gas firms.

“Our residents are so fed up with corporate greed,” said Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), a supporter of the measure.

Tlaib spoke in front of a large poster that listed the 2021 profits of various large oil companies, including Shell and Chevron.

Republican John Joyce (R-Pa.) stood beside a poster that illustrated the long lines of cars at gas stations during the 1970s, when the United States implemented price controls in an attempt to deal with rising gas prices caused by OPEC’s oil embargo.

The poster was labeled “Socialist Price Fixing.”

“Instead of creating price controls that would lead to less production and massive gas shortages, we need to rely on the energy that lies beneath the feet of my constituents in Pennsylvania,” Joyce said.

Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-N.D.) ran through a laundry list of Biden administration actions that he said contributed to the rise in gas prices. These included the cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s climate-related disclosure proposal.

As Armstrong noted, the Biden administration already pushed the FTC to investigate rising gas prices late last year.

Rep. Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) said House Republicans were mischaracterizing the scope of the legislation.

“We’re not giving the FTC the authority to set the price.”

Yet the legislation itself defines violations in terms of “unconscionably excessive” prices, raising questions about how the benchmark for such a judgment would be set and by whom.

Pallone also claimed that “the problem is oil companies don’t want to increase production.”

“You cannot ask oil and gas companies, particularly onshore companies, to increase production when the infrastructure doesn’t exist to get that product to market,” Armstrong said during his own testimony, citing the Duke pipeline and other pipeline projects that have been scuttled in recent years.

Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) attempted to recommit the measure to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, addressing concerns raised by that committee’s ranking member, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.). His motion failed by a vote of 220–201.

The House also passed two amendments to the legislation.

The first, introduced by Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.), would mandate an FTC investigation into alleged price gouging, including through cuts to refinery capacity. It passed by a 217–205 vote.

The second, introduced by Chris Pappas (D-N.H.), creates a new FTC unit to monitor fuel markets. It passed by a vote of 214–207.

The Sierra Club, an environmental organization aligned with the Democratic Party, praised the measure on social media, tagging their Twitter post with the hashtag #blamebigoil.



Tim Stewart, president of the U.S. Oil & Gas Association, said the legislation’s language is vague, setting a troubling precedent.

“The poorly written bill gives the president discretion to declare that gasoline or diesel fuel is ‘unconscionably excessive’ and to determine if your neighborhood gas station is guilty of exploiting an ‘energy emergency,’” Stewart told The Epoch Times. “None of these terms are defined, so they can mean whatever the president says, and these price controls can be continued indefinitely.

“This should set off alarm bells across all industries and markets, because while today might the price of gasoline … tomorrow’s ‘unconscionably excessive’ pricing might apply to anything from the price of wheat to health care to airfare to housing.”

Prominent Democratic economists, including Harvard professor Larry Summers and former Obama administration economist Jason Furman, have also voiced concerns about the legislation, with Furman describing it as “dangerous misguided nonsense” on Twitter.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) didn’t respond to requests for comment by press time regarding how they intend to vote on any Senate version of the legislation.
