Vice Presidents have long complained that the position doesn’t demand much, and the President isn’t required to include them in Executive Branch activities. There’s a story that when Johnson couldn’t go to Winston Churchill’s funeral someone suggested sending Hubert (Humphrey, the VP), and Johnson said, “Hubert who?” Truman didn’t even know about the Manhattan Project (building the A-bomb) until he was briefed after Roosevelt’s death. It’s not like Harris can get fired or have her pay docked for not performing an extra task she’s given like solving the border situation. Lots of perks for not much effort, so why resign even if she were lazy and unambitious? ► 6.4/93.6 “I regret that I am to now die in the belief, that the useless sacrifice of themselves by the generation of 1776, to acquire self-government and happiness to their country, is to be thrown away by the unwise and unworthy passions of their sons, and that my only consolation is to be, that I live not to weep over it.” — Thomas Jefferson

By that I mean the party will ask her to step aside due to her extreme incompetence. Nobody is as aware of her incompetence as she is. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

My bet....she has a whole closet full of blue dresses to use against a myriad of blood deficient moron politicians if the need ever arises. Look, this woman is ignorant, lazy, and incompetent, but she's also got a bloodlust for power. She's one step away from sitting in the oval office, behind an old man who could well kick the bucket tomorrow. She's not going to resign, step down, or leave, no matter what. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Every man should have several guns. Gracie Allen is my personal savior! |
That's the point I was making.
All bets are off, IMHO. You could actually read the flurry of negative media stories about her as laying the groundwork for a primary challenge she would lose if she didn't step aside graciously. Thing is, this mess the Dems have made for themselves is comprehensive. I can't cackle about that as much as I'd like to because we had a couple of Republican "12 Dwarves"-type primaries before Trump stepped up, and Trump blew through what turned out to be 11 dwarves just by speaking clearly and having a relatively clear sense of direction. But this mess of the Dem's making looks, at this very early point, as if it would simply be a rerun of the Dem's 2020 primary. There simply isn't anyone one that side that looks like a strong candidate, and all that noise about Buttegieg replacing Harris was just the sound of the media getting bored and going through its old notes. I guess what I'm saying is that it's still entirely possible we'll see Biden/Harris again in 2024 just because the Dems can't come together behind any other candidates and are still willing to tell themselves that Uncah Ho can be managed.

Yet another Trump initiative that the Dementia-Patient-In-Chief is taking credit for and getting praised by the MSM on. It's maddening Last year President Trump announced an agreement slashing the out of pocket cost of insulin to $35 - The press barely covered it. Now Biden is announcing the same, taking credit for it, and is getting wall to wall coverage..

You know, jtedescucci has a point - how in the hell did this get buried in a thread where we're bored enough to try to predict the outcome of the primary in 2024?
On the one hand, it's nice to have a horse laugh at the idiot and it's nice to see that a court can actually force him to obey the law. On the other hand, he's already dealing himself wriggle room and giving himself an opportunity to undercut the policy - even though that won't begin to satisfy the ideologues in the Dem party.

good news https://www.breitbart.com/poli...minee-saule-omarova/ Saule Omarova , President Joe Biden’s nominee for the office of the Comptroller of the Currency, withdrew her nomination Tuesday after Democrats and Republicans opposed her controversial views to eliminate community banks and fossil fuel companies. Breitbart News has extensively covered Omarova’s nomination to the Comptroller of the Currency position and her radical views as a Cornell Law professor. If the Senate confirmed Omarova, she would have had the “most powerful, least accountable” position over the banking system, a former senior government official told Breitbart News in November. Senators, including Democrats such as Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), became increasingly critical of the Biden nominee as Breitbart News and other organizations revealed her controversial vision for the American banking system. Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) told Breitbart News in late October that Omarova’s support of “Communist ideals” disqualifies her for the position, a move that pressured Tester to oppose her nomination. In her academic work, she has called to eliminate all bank accounts and to transfer all bank deposits to “FedAccounts” at the Federal Reserve, the nation’s central bank. When talking about FedAccounts, the former senior government official said, “The Democratic Party over the last couple of administrations, they want the government to essentially take over a lot of financial functions from banks.” Breitbart News Economics Editor John Carney noted that Omarova would end community banking as we know it if the Senate were to confirm her.

The obvious corruption of the biden administration is stunning https://www.breitbart.com/poli...to-anonymous-buyers/ The White House flagged money laundering in the art industry on Monday as a point of corruption The first report of its kind named the United States Strategy on Countering Corruption is geared towards exploring the ways and means “government officials abuse public power for private gain.” Though the White House’s report specifically focused on the art industry as a “market” where financial crimes occur, it did not mention the Biden family’s involvement with corruption, such as Hunter’s art selling scheme to investors while his father is president. Hunter has reportedly sold multiple pieces of art for at least $75,000 this fall to anonymous buyers, and the New York Times reported first lady Jill Biden has allegedly displayed Hunter’s artwork in the White House. The White House has defended Hunter’s scheme as consistent with “the highest ethical standards.” Nevertheless, the report flagged the following about the art industry’s criminal pliability: The markets for art and antiquities—and the market participants who facilitate transactions—are especially vulnerable to a range of financial crimes. Built-in opacity, lack of stable and predictable pricing, and inherent cross-border transportability of goods sold, make the market optimal for illicit value transfer, sanctions evasion, and corruption.

Some really valuable antiquites plundered from various countries. Herman Goering was perhaps the most egregious.
