Iran Bulldozed Plane Crash Site Before Outside Investigators Arrived

https://www.breitbart.com/nati...200110&utm_content=A

CBS News reported on Friday that Iranian “scavengers” have “scrubbed” the site where a Ukrainian passenger jet came down outside Tehran before outside investigators could examine the evidence. “Virtually all debris” was removed before outsiders were allowed on the scene.

While CBS primarily complained about “scavengers” randomly plucking debris from the site and highlighted the inexplicable lack of security, U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell called the Iranian regime out for deliberately destroying evidence, linking to German-language reports about bulldozers on the scene:

CBS reports indicated large portions of the downed aircraft’s fuselage have been removed from the site, which would be difficult to explain as the work of random scavengers rushing to grab a few souvenirs.

Iranian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Hamid Baeidinejad on Friday denied bulldozers were clearing the crash site, even though they have been captured in photographs and video recordings.

Furthermore, Iranian media outlets have posted photos of objects removed from the crash site and neatly arranged for convenient display.

At a news conference on Friday, Iranian officials displayed what they claimed was one of the “black box” flight recorders recovered from the aircraft and said it could take “one or two months” to recover its data, while a full investigation of the incident could take “one or two years” to complete.

The regime originally said it would not share the black boxes with U.S. officials or the American manufacturer of the plane, Boeing, but later it appeared to back away from that position and indicated it might be willing to share the boxes, or at least the data it claims to extract from them, with foreign investigators.

“Generally speaking, Iran has the potential and know-how to decode the black box. Everybody knows that,” Iranian Civil Aviation Authority chief Ali Abedzadeh boasted to CNN on Thursday, perhaps sensitive to how Iran’s intransigence might give the contrary impression.

“The black box of this very Ukrainian Boeing 737 is damaged. Ukrainian Aviation experts arrived here in Tehran today. We had a session with them. From tomorrow they will start decoding the data,” Abedzadeh said. He did not elaborate on what “very Ukrainian” means or explain how Ukrainian technicians might have altered the flight recorder in a way that makes it difficult to read.

Intelligence agencies around the world announced on Thursday that the plane was very likely destroyed by an Iranian surface-to-air missile, specifically a Russian-built SA-15. U.S. officials implied satellite intelligence helped them reach this determination quickly. Some video footage leaked out of Iran appears to show an object rising rapidly from the ground and impacting the plane, causing it to burst into flames. The regime in Tehran continues to insist the plane crashed due to a mysterious mechanical failure.

The entire western world needs to turn on the sandy, rag headed, caveman savages. Fucking sanction them into oblivion until the decent people there rise up and destroy the fanatics. If they do much as puttputt an attack boat 10 feet into the straight of Hormuz incinerate it. They are so cleary not compatible with civilization.

I’m waiting on Rose McGowan to apologize to Iran for that jet flying in Iran’s airspace.

Simply put, situational awareness mean knowing what is going on around you.

Well damn. That's one hell of a crack investigative team they got there. They won't even have to work on Sunday.

^^ Does that mean that their claims to the media that it was an 'accident' are inoperative, or only operative until Saturday?

Saw it billed as an "accident" in the local news as well. Semantics, and that fits the liberal narrative, but an accident would be if they unintentionally fired a missile at the plane - maybe somebody sat on the launch button "accidentally." The likely scenario is that they deliberately and intentionally fired a missile - by mistake.

Maybe it just went off like guns do every now and then.

Press release just now -

'Iran has announced it mistakenly and unintentionally shot down a Ukrainian airliner over Tehran shortly after takeoff.

In a statement, Iran’s general staff of the armed forces said the passenger plane flew close to a military base, appearing to be an enemy target. The statement added, the plane was hit due to human error. The military apologized for the tragic incident that led to the death of all 176 Iranian and foreign nationals aboard the Boeing 737. It said all responsible parties will be brought to justice. Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the tragedy occurred at the time of the crisis caused by the US adventurism. Iran had placed its defense equipment on high alert after its retaliatory missile strikes at US bases in Iraq hours before the crash.'

I read that as 'See, America,it's all YOUR fault that we shot down a climbing-out airliner on a scheduled flight out of Tehran international airport in order to defend ourselves...'

SOP, wait for the people who hate Trump to come up with the reasons why it's his fault, then use those.
Saves them the trouble of coming up with something on their own, and keeps the messaging consistent...

South Africa's President calls Iranian President Hassan Itchiheini to express condolences for the loss of his terrorist in chief.

President Cyril Ramaphosa called Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday to convey his condolences on the killing of a senior military commander by the US and to express support for Iran amid escalating tension with the US.

Ramaphosa’s spokesperson Khusela Diko said in a statement on Friday the president also conveyed SA’s sadness at the loss of life that resulted from the crash of Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 752 shortly after takeoff from the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran on Wednesday.

“President Ramaphosa conveyed to President Rouhani SA’s condolences at the assassination of the Iranian military commander, Maj-Gen Qasem Soleimani, in a US military strike which targeted Gen Soleimani on Iraqi soil on Friday January 3,” Diko said.

The official Iranian government website said Ramaphosa called the assassination of Soleimani “a cowardly act”.

“I was very shocked by the news of Lt-Gen Soleimani's martyrdom who was very popular among people. We strongly condemn this action,” they quoted Ramaphosa as saying to Rouhani.

Diko said Ramaphosa expressed SA's interest in a peaceful and just resolution of the tension between Iran and the US.

“In the context of the pursuit of global peace, President Ramaphosa expressed deep concern at the military action by the US which has led to increased tension and created conditions for retaliation,” Diko said.

She said Ramaphosa called on all sides to exercise maximum restraint and conduct themselves within the rule of international law and hoped that the international community made an effort to secure a peaceful outcome to the tension.

“President Ramaphosa said SA was deeply concerned about the escalating tension in the Middle East, which has far-reaching implications for the region as well as international peace and security,” she said.

According to the Iranian government, Rouhani said that most of the regional issues stemmed from illegal sanctions by the US.

“We hope that all friendly countries take appropriate stances towards this illegal action and make the US observe the law,” he reportedly told Ramaphosa. “We must make the Americans understand that the world will not accept their criminal actions.”

International relations minister Naledi Pandor told TimesLIVE on Thursday that a war between the US and Iran would be a threat to SA's fragile economy.

Pandor said the conflict risked affecting the entire globe.

“Once you have petrol prices go through the roof, once you see oil prices rise as we’ve seen in the past few days, it’s a threat to our fragile economy,” she said on the sidelines of an ANC event in Kimberley.

Her remarks came after US President Donald Trump announced an easing off from further military conflict with Iran following missile attacks on two Iraqi bases hosting US and coalition troops.

The attacks by Iran came after the US drone strike killed Soleimani.

The price of oil spiked to more than $70 a barrel this week as tensions escalated.

Pandor said as a member of the UN Security Council, SA would call for restraint and dialogue between the two countries.

“We view all of these developments with dismay,” she said.
