A SECOND migrant caravan heads for the US: 1,000 Hondurans have crossed into Guatemala following the first group of 7,000 into Mexico https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne...following-first.html A second migrant caravan is heading for the American border having formed in the wake of an initial group, which has already crossed Guatemala and entered Mexico. The second caravan is made up of 1,000 people and crossed the border from Honduras into Guatemala on Sunday, before arriving in the town of Chiquimula on Monday night. They are following in the path of a much-larger group, believed to number around 7,000, which was sheltering in the town of Huixtla, in southern Mexcio, overnight on Monday. I seriously doubt it. If you walked 1500 miles and left behind your house, friends, and family for a better life some stink and stinging eyes is not likely going to stop you. It will take someone physically stopping you, this is for their families life and they are acting out of desperation. If they breach the boarder we won't have the numbers to physically stop them and I'm fairly certain we won't be shooting them. Even if we get enough CBP there, we don't have an extra 8,000 cells to store them in. This is a siege, they are trying to overwhelm our ability to detain, adjucate, and jail them. I am not normally a pessimist, but I find it very difficult to conceive what could be done if that horde actually lines up at the border and forces its way across the line. Physical containment would not work, and killing even one or two of them would be an international disaster, not to mention a problem here at home.
