A SECOND migrant caravan heads for the US: 1,000 Hondurans have crossed into Guatemala following the first group of 7,000 into Mexico

A second migrant caravan is heading for the American border having formed in the wake of an initial group, which has already crossed Guatemala and entered Mexico.

The second caravan is made up of 1,000 people and crossed the border from Honduras into Guatemala on Sunday, before arriving in the town of Chiquimula on Monday night.

They are following in the path of a much-larger group, believed to number around 7,000, which was sheltering in the town of Huixtla, in southern Mexcio, overnight on Monday.

It is not clear exactly when or where the second group started their march, though it is believed to be somewhere near San Pedro Sula, where the first started.

I seriously doubt it. If you walked 1500 miles and left behind your house, friends, and family for a better life some stink and stinging eyes is not likely going to stop you. It will take someone physically stopping you, this is for their families life and they are acting out of desperation. If they breach the boarder we won't have the numbers to physically stop them and I'm fairly certain we won't be shooting them. Even if we get enough CBP there, we don't have an extra 8,000 cells to store them in.

This is a siege, they are trying to overwhelm our ability to detain, adjucate, and jail them.

And, unfortunately, it has a very good chance of succeeding. Short of shooting them down in droves, there is no way of stopping that big a surge of humanity from crossing into our country. And that would be politically and diplomatically a very bad move.

Don’t underestimate the duplicity and conniving nature of the left...there are plenty of trucks in Mexico. These vermin need to be watched extremely closely. Armies can cover vast amounts of real estate when the need is great.

I am not normally a pessimist, but I find it very difficult to conceive what could be done if that horde actually lines up at the border and forces its way across the line. Physical containment would not work, and killing even one or two of them would be an international disaster, not to mention a problem here at home. I fervently hope that "something will be done" but I'm having a difficult time imagining what it might be.

"At the President's direction, I spoke to President Hernandez of Honduras. He told me that the caravan that is now making its way through Mexico, headed for the southern border, was organized by leftist organizations and financed by Venezuela," Pence revealed.

"People that are driving this caravan north to challenge our sovereignty, to challenge our borders, are doing so without any regard for human life and doing advance some political statement, or in the case of human traffickers, strictly for financial profit. The president is absolutely determined to use all means at his disposal to organize efforts to have Mexico turn this caravan around."

Earlier this year Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the United States and the CIA of trying to assassinate him.

During a press briefing at the State Department Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the caravan will not be allowed to enter the United States should it make it to the southern border.

"The United States also has a message for those who are currently part of this caravan, or any caravan which follows: You will not be successful at getting in to the United States illegally," Pompeo said. "The migrant caravan is violating Mexico's sovereignty laws and immigration procedures. The President will not stand for this to happen to the United States."
