I mean, we probably hate terrorists and murders, rapists and child molesters we read about in the news.

But do you personally know someone you hate? Hate as in you wish they didn't exist on this earth or worse?

I sincerely try to not have hate in my heart.
True hate. Dislike, disdain, etc. are different emotions, IMO.

That being said, I probably harbor something entirely too close to hate for my ex-wife.
But only for what I see she has done to my kids.

I wouldn’t call it hate, but I did tell a fellow employee one time that I was going to call him a cocksucker every time I saw him.
I won’t get into why, but it involved HUGE amounts of Gov’t waste.
I followed through also. Until he got fired. And divorced. And moved a few states away.

Absolutely. I won't get into details but the individual I'm thinking of is easy to hate.

Yes. I don't use the word hate or cunt lightly, but the person I'm thinking of is both.

I can't go into it because it's a work situation. Let's just say that I won't have a private meeting with this unethical triple minority and will always bring along another person to the meeting (i.e. a witness).

I’m sure I’m capable of it, but I do my best to avoid it. As much as possible, I try to avoid negative emotions. I’m certainly not always as successful as I’d like, but I try.

I hate evil.

A few times I've encountered it in a person and was forced to take action.

I believe all can be redeemed, and I believe people can change. Partially because I believe this, I find myself recognizing that it is evil within a person that would be the focus of my hate.

I recognize that bad things sometimes happen to good people, and sometimes the consequences of others affect those who do not deserve the consequences. Sometimes justice happens and evil reaps the consequences it has earned. Most of the time, justice is nowhere near similar to the consequences evil caused to the innocent.

Sometimes it is appropriate to bring consequences to people who have embraced or chosen evil. Even if they are or could be redeemed, sometimes justice demands that consequences be paid out regardless of redemption, real or imagined.

To summarize the famous line, in my own words: Evil wins when good men and women do nothing to stop it.

I have worked hard on my own mind and discipline to hate the evil, not the person, and act accordingly without regret to stop evil no matter what the consequences. I keep my circle small, for a reason.

Yes. In fact, the list is longer than is healthy. This does NOT mean that I would immediately do physical violence to all of these people should I meet them, but there is one or two I would happily pitch into if given the opportunity.

The only person that could apply to for me, my ex wife.

Only nice thing she’s deserved from me, in the last 15 years, were my condolences for the passing of her mother (whom I liked and loved dearly) and even then, I passed my condolences through her sister (whom I also like and love even though she is über liberal).
