Hate can be useful... properly harnessed it can drive you to be better.

Ive done some of my best work against people I hate, because I refuse to lose to that person

Yes, there was a person that I truly hated. He betrayed me in a business dealing. I had warned him prior to him betraying me and he went through with it anyway. Didn't work out for him in the long run, ended up losing his business.

Interesting thing though, he died last year and I actually felt bad. He had no wife or significant other, no kids. His only immediate family was a mother, father and brother.

I ended up going to the service and his family was so thankful. I hadn't seen them in over 30 years and basically it was myself and 3 others people that knew him from years ago that came. They kept asking why they hadn't seen me for so long and I just kept it simple and said "we went different paths in business, just never brought us back together".

I had always told my wife I would hate him till the day he died, and it held true. I'm glad I was able to let go of the anger I had towards him after he passed and at least made his family a little happy that someone came to his service.

More than capable. My hate machine fired up the nano second Obozo appeared...even before he opened his yap. Now, I understand another meaning of the word triggered. The very sight.

Don’t personally know the man, just big time triggered. I think I became numb to him and now that he’s been out I hated to se him again.

One ex business partner owes me a few million bucks and counting. It was a devastating loss, truly.

The money and the rest of drama are enough that I'd light him on fire and watch if it were a legal remedy.

I'd stand there roasting marshmallows and giggling while YouTube-ing the whole agonizing thing for him.

Fuck that guy. End him, with extreme prejudice, now.

But, alas, staying out of jail and enjoying a life of liberty is so so much more important.

So it never becomes real hate. Not really. Real hate requires action and dedication, I think.

Persistent anger is not hate, no more than a persistent crush is real love. They lack the effort/work...

I would deconstruct the original question.

Every 'normal' human (without mental/development issues) is capable of hate, so that answer is yes.

If the question was 'do you actively hate a real person in your life' or 'how do you handle it when you hate someone', those would be different answers, but I would contend that everyone is capable of hate.

Personally, yes I have known people that I hated. I do a couple of things when that happens - first, eliminate them from my life, period. Secondly, compartmentalize mentally - just ignore/forget their existence. I don't waste time obsessing over things I can't change.

Sometimes I think about people I hate intensely dislike and what I would say to them if I met them again.

It is better to ask if I'm capable of loving someone. That's a good question for me.

Do I currently hate someone I know personally? No.

Could I do so? Probably. Such a person would have to do some incredibly awful things to make that happen, though.

But I'm thinking of a specific woman I used to work with. She was the most hateful behaving human I've ever seen. She made it clear that she needed someone to hate, all the time. That was her life situation, needing someone to hate.

The weird thing was, after doing this, should could turn on a dime in a second and smile sweetly at everyone and act nice for awhile.

What kind of a psychological profile is such a person?

Sociopathy leads the list.

But
Dislike/hate is like an onion,
