I think the DOJ was supposed to deliver to Congress this morning, but they are apparently still "redacting"

The long-awaited watchdog report on the FBI and DOJ’s Hillary Clinton investigation during the 2016 presidential campaign will be released next Thursday, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said.

In a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Horowitz said “we anticipate releasing the report on June 14, 2018.” That day is also President Trump's birthday.

The inspector general also told committee chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, in the letter that he has accepted the invitation to testify about the report on June 18, meaning his scheduled appearance before the committee is being delayed again.

Washington has been on edge since last month, when Horowitz told lawmakers the draft report was done. Congressional committees have scheduled, and then postponed, hearings with Horowitz while waiting for the report to be released.

For more than a year, Horowitz has been reviewing the FBI and DOJ’s actions related to its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

Horowitz’s investigation has looked at a variety of allegations, including whether it was improper for former FBI Director James Comey to make a public announcement about not recommending prosecution over the Clinton email arrangement.

Horowitz’s review has already put top FBI official Andrew McCabe in legal jeopardy. The Justice Department’s internal watchdog sent a criminal referral for McCabe in April to the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington.

That was in response to Horowitz’s finding that McCabe leaked information to the press about the investigation and later lied about it to Comey and federal investigators, prompting Attorney General Jeff Sessions to fire him in March.

A portion of the report on McCabe had already been released to Congress.

In November, Horowitz said his team has interviewed dozens of people and had reviewed about 1.2 million records in the course of its investigation. He said his team was looking at whether “certain underlying investigative decisions were based on improper considerations.”

The review also looked at whether the Justice Department’s assistant attorney general for legislative affairs “improperly disclosed non-public information to the Clinton campaign” and should have been recused. That referred to official Peter Kadzik, who had been an attorney in the past for Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

Horowitz has said the review is looking at whether any DOJ or FBI employees improperly disclosed non-public information.

The review has already made a splash.

The inspector general’s review uncovered the anti-Trump texts from FBI official Peter Strzok, who famously called Trump an “idiot” and texted about an “insurance policy” against a Trump presidency. Strzok had been assigned to Robert Mueller’s special counsel probe, but has since been reassigned.

Is anything else going on around June 14? Oh yeah, Trump will be meeting with Kim in Singapore, and that will dominate the news.

Gee, it almost seems like DOJ does not want this IG report to get much media coverage.

http://dailycaller.com/2018/06...orge-soros-go-wrong/

George Soros recently lamented the rise of President Trump and anti-establishment parties across the globe, saying “everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong.”

He also said that he did not expect Trump’s election, saying, “Apparently, I was living in my own bubble.”

Soros has become known for using his immense wealth to influence politics in the United States and around the world.

maybe Mueller can look into that

Ex-CIA Director John Brennan: 'Be patient, Mr. Trump is a temporary aberration'

John Brennan, who served as CIA director in the Obama administration, took a shot across the bow at President Trump after the president lashed out at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for being “dishonest” and “weak."

In a pointed tweet Sunday morning, Brennan said Trump is "a temporary aberration" whose impact on the U.S. will not last.

"Your wrong-headed protectionist policies & antics are damaging our global standing as well as our national interests. Your worldview does not represent American ideals. To allies & friends: Be patient, Mr. Trump is a temporary aberration. The America you once knew will return," Brennan said.

Hours earlier, Trump accused the Canadian leader of acting “meek and mild” during their meetings in Quebec during the G-7 summit and being “dishonest” in the way he portrayed the newly imposed U.S. tariffs. He also claimed to have informed U.S. officials not to affirm the communique signed by G-7 members.

Following Trump's Saturday departure from the G-7 for Singapore, Trudeau held a press conference stating that all of the member nations, including the U.S., had signed a communique dedicated to lowering tariffs and other trade barriers. He also said in response to Trump's tweets that "We are focused on everything we accomplished here at the summit. The Prime Minister said nothing he hasn’t said before — both in public, and in private conversations with the President."

The tweet from Brennan, a vocal critic of the president, echoed that of one sent by James Comey, the ex-FBI director who was fired by Trump last year.

"Our national security relationship with Canada is vital and saves American lives. It was built over generations and is bigger than any person or dispute. This too shall pass," Comey tweeted early Sunday.
