Had the thought while out on the deck watching the sun declining in the West, and neighbors out walking their dogs; I'm going to need a good cigar very soon.

I thought Trump would win, and that the polls were leftist media B.S. and that Biden ran a terrible campaign.

Biden campaigned on bringing dignity back to the white house, bridging both sides. People were tired of COVID, tired of riots, tired of divisiveness, even though most of it was caused by the left. And they fell for it, a "normal" politician they knew, a centrist of sorts who had been tough on crime in the past.

We all know how close it was, and going to sleep when the counting stopped oddly at 2am in the swing states, and then Biden pulling ahead when they started updating the counts in the morning, was waaaayy too fishy.

But Biden went hard left his entire term and has trillions in unnecesary "stimulus" caused the worst inflation in 40 years. And everyone knows that. Biden and Harris have both said they were a team, and Harris was the deciding vote in the Senate for Biden's legislative agenda.

Now there is no facade of returning to "normal" Harris is more of the same, and even further left. I am confident people can see that. What I am not confident in is the ability of people to see that Harris is a marxist to the core due to indoctrination in schools and universities and the constant propaganda from the MSM.

I am more confident this time, because the swell of support for Trump from groups who usually do not vote for Republicans, and the business and tech community attempting to build bridges. They know Trump is very likely to win.

I voted early about 2 days after it opened, 3 weeks ago. I will be in suburban Detroit on business next Tuesday-Friday. Scheduled by an Indian on my side and a Canadian on the supplier side. They can't vote so I guess they weren't thinking about it.

I've done what I could and voted about two days after early voting started and the crowds died down.
Now it's just waiting, and fending off the robocalls for open enrollment and politics.

While I am a HAM and radio geek of sorts, it isn’t something I’ve devoted a lot of time to lately.

Decided with the coming election and potential for unrest as a result it might not be a bad idea to get radio(s) and scanner updated as well as refreshing myself on the scanner use.

Local PDs, County Sheriff, and Emergency Management groups all programmed, refreshed myself on scanner operation, and making sure my various backup power sources are charged and ready too as we are getting into the power outage season in the PNW as well.

Only a few days away, stay strong and alert gentlemen.

...and the business travel safety alerts are warning me about civil unrest in major cities on election day as I drive to Detroit.

Best alerts ever was when I was in South Korea in 2013 and Kim was threatening "nuclear annihilation".

Your local LE agencies aren’t using encryption? Our local agencies got tired of folks picking up too much about what was going on. For one local agency, an activist, so called journalist showing up before they did on one too many calls was the last straw and they turned on encryption before everyone else was ready. That made things interesting for a while.

Not for main dispatch channels. They do have some encrypted options for tactical or sensitive operations, but they are rarely used outside of high risk warrant services, etc.

You must have less idiots in your general population than we do around here, not that that would be a surprise.

I am supremely confident in what is going to happen tomorrow. Please, please don't refrain from voting! MAGA!!!!!!

I am also mildly cautious about the reaction. My wife, who works three blocks from the white house, says that most of her office mates are staying home tomorrow and Wednesday out of fear of violent disruption. She's going to make it business as usual, and I have a great deal of respect for her judgement, but most of all, I want her to be safe.

I will vote about 11:00AM, a time when experience has shown that lines and any wait are minimal. It would be great to see lines around the block, and lots of red, white, and blue.

I think back on this night back on 2016 when my late wife crashed (she was exhausted from her chemotherapy)… I woke her up to tell her Trump had won the Presidency over Hillary Clinton her words were “God Be Blessed”…she is gone…but I pray that I can utter the same words tomorrow night Smile Terry Rip Frown

Fanni Willis was on the Atlanta News announcing that all the court house workers would be off after tomorrow for the rest of the week. Working from home unless they have court.
