I for one am looking forward to the rending of garments and gnashing of teeth on the left. The meltdowns are going to be epic.

Thank you, Para. I'm going to send your post to my wife, who has been a stalwart conservative since I was a wet-behind-the-ears Kennedy Democrat. She will certainly approve.

We have made plans to spend election eve with the same Christian and conservative couple with whom we spent the election evening of 2016. I agree that the most reliable signs (e.g. party voter registration) point to a victory; perhaps even to a landslide of near-Reaganesque proportions.

With the amount of division in the country, election day should get good ratings this year. It will be interesting. I don't think it's as close as the polling indicates and expect a strong electoral victory for Trump. Calamity is always near and how we respond to it is important.. panic and hyperbole are almost never helpful. I expect a strong resistance from the leftist.

Just reading this made me think at how close we are to voting. Hard to believe it is almost here. I am hoping and praying for our nation and people.

I agree with buying what you need now. Prices aren't too bad right now for most firearm related things, fortunately.

I think Trump's most important message is that we have to win November "Too Big To Rig". Being a life-long Republican in Illinois, I understand this better than most.

Everybody I know well enough to talk politics with is Republican, with one notable exception, the LGS owner, and I've been working on him for years.

I strike up conversations with people I meet at the grocery store, post office, doctor's office, veterinarian, barber shop, and nearly without exception they vote Republican. Nearly every lawn sign says "Trump" on it. A couple weeks ago I talked to a woman about my age (mid-70's) about the increase in illegal immigrant crime and told her I want to move to Texas because the problem will most-likely be resolved there sooner than here. By the expression on her face, she saw the light.

The sheriff in this county is one of the approximately 60 out of 100 in Illinois who has pledged to not enforce the draconian anti- AR and large capacity magazine confiscation law currently being fought in the courts.

This is all anecdotal evidence, I know, but there is a strong Republican base to the population in Illinois, but there is also a long history of political corruption as well.

Two conclusions I've come to: that I have to figure how to seek out Dimocrats and non-committed (who in the Wide Wide World of Sports could possibly be uncommitted at this point???) and try and persuade them; and it's just possible that we can win "Too Big To Rig", even in this shithole of corruption.

An appropriate perspective and reasonable requirement. As for me, I’ve been a little occupied with the homestead project and the final moving effort. I keep up with the events but haven’t been able to engage much.

I have great hope for the culture and citizens of our country. I have greater faith in God that ultimately His righteous intent will prevail. I see signs that are encouraging relative to the upcoming election. I think Donald Trump has earned a victory.

Regardless, I’ve chosen to remain optimistic and press forward proselytizing true principles and correcting falsehoods and deceptions coming from the Luciferian Left.

I would also like to add that should the worst happen, let us refrain from "Trump should have done this" or "Trump should have done that."

If Biden had continued and won, everybody would know something smells fishy. But the cover story of "first black woman president" as bullshit sounding as that is is going to provide sufficient cover story for the clueless.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Yes, he is. Not only that, he spent a career in Law Enforcement until sidelined with an injury or illness, I'm not clear on which it was.

He's a good guy, which is why I spend time with him. He bought the BS about Kyle Rittenhouse after Kyle was cleared of charges in the Kenosha riots, until I filled him in. Even thought crossing state lines with a rifle was a crime until I pointed out that Wisconsin and Michigan (to name a couple) would be totally empty during deer season if that was true! Eek

I started stocking up the night I saw Obama was getting elected. I never really stopped. Except when there was panic buying. I was good by then anyway. I believe I will outlive my stock pile and have given instructions to my children with my thoughts and ideas. My daughter went to college and became a liberal. After graduating and a couple years working in the real world, she has come around. Even celebrating conservative getting elected to the school board now. There is always hope for the future.

The *fight to come* is in electing conservative majorities in Congress to help President #47 Trump make real & lasting changes.
