I'm so angry I could spit.

I think this will motivate Grassley and McConnell to move to a full senate vote ASAP after Thursday hearing. They have been played and I bet are none too happy about it as I expect most other republican senators feel. Further delays will not help the confirmation process.

Either pull him or vote. Tomorrow.

Going forward, no more of these shit shows. No opening statements lasting 30 minutes by each Senator. Each one will be allowed no more than 15 minutes to ask five questions, and when each committee member is done, a vote is taken. Done. Period. If they cannot act like adults they will be treated like children.

These fucking commies have made a mockery of the process and have once again wiped their asses with the Constitution. We The People need to take back our government.

If the accuser was vacationing in the mid-Atlantic, how did she get there? Did she drive and take a boat? If she took a jet those records should be pretty easy to obtain.

I wonder if the Republican voters in Alabama have come to the realization yet that they were bamboozled over Roy Moore.
Yep, and as one of those voters, I can tell you for a fact that I knew that seat was lost the moment he was nominated, not for the reasons you probably think, though.

This was mentioned in other articles- The Dems have 10 Senators or so in jeopardy while the R's have 2 or something. Definitely 1 sided on the Dems.

It would be re-assuring if there was a strategy.

My guess is that those ten Dem senators in jeopardy are running against Republicans.

Right on cue a second accuser comes forward after Ford stalls at any date to testify, just right after Kavanaugh produced a calendar proving he wasn't present at a party no one remembered.

It's almost like a new delay tactic.

It will be interesting to follow the future employment status of the accusers. I'm betting they end up with very high paying jobs on the staffs of Democratic congressmen.

Love that reporting. So this broad was hammered and couldn't remember large chunks of the evening including who the offender(s) were. But with a little jogging of her memory, it all came back into focus, even through her drunken haze. And the writer doesn't mention if any report of the incident was ever filed with either the Yale campus cops or local law enforcement. Gee, I bet I know why he stayed away from that item.

As you mentioned, this was to be expected, and if the Repub's are stupid enough to take this bait and allow further delays, you can bet the Dem's will continue to march out these drunken liberal whores who have photographic recall of events that happened 30+ years ago while they were too drunk to walk or keep their panties on. To say I'm disgusted by what I'm seeing would be a gross understatement.

Yes. I'm more supportive of him now than when he was nominated. DO NOT pull the nomination. That would only reward the Democrats tactics... and inflame conservatives even more.
Take the vote. The Committee could probably vote on Friday.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

A vote must take place as planned. Period. Any Senator that can’t see this for what it is is an idiot.

By the way, shouldn’t Cory Booker recuse himself? Being a sexual predator and all.

A vote of the committee is a recommendation to the full Senate on confirmation. It is neither binding on the Senate nor required to be made.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

Personally, I think McConnell and the senate leadership should make it crystal clear to Collins and Murkowski that if they vote the wrong way on this confirmation, and Repubs hold onto the senate majority after November (maybe even increasing their majority), they will never again play any role with the senate. No committee appointments, no significance at all. Flake will eventually fall in line (he's a fricking coward) when Collins and Murkowski do.
