Joe Manchin is a YES!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

It took long enough and was grating, but Senator Collins put together a very good statement of why Kavanaugh should be confirmed and then confirmed her yes vote.

The Democrats should consider carefully what she said. But, of course, they won't.

Platitudes aside, her speech was very thoughtful and well laid out.

Manchin also just confirmed that he will vote yes.

Now Manchin is a Yes as well, since it no longer matters. Guess Chukie let him check his balls out to try and save his seat.

Hope he losses re-election any way

Agreed. It was 43 minutes long, but I think she said what she had to say, no more, no less.

I was impressed how thorough and thoughtful her review of Brett Kavanaugh was.

She had lots of pressure to pull a Murkowski, but she did the honorable thing.

I hope that as time goes on, Ford's claims get further examination and the truth comes out.

I turned on CNN to watch them try and "analyze" the situation and they cut in to an interview with Joe Manchin (D-WVA) and there are a bunch of anti Kavanaugh people shouting "Shame, Shame Shame..."

They are all white women judging by the sound of their voices and sound like a bunch of dumb ----.

BTW, Manchin is a yes also!

Up until the votes are cast, I'm hopeful that Murkowski will see the light.
