You're missing the point. It doesn't matter what the committee accepts, if the leadership doesn't accommodate him, he may vote no when the confirmation comes up for a vote before the full senate. That's what he was saying. If there is no investigation, Flake will vote against the nomination in the full senate vote. | |||
