After 2020 I told myself that I was done with voting in AZ. I changed my registration from republican to independent in hopes of minimizing the calls and text messages. No such luck. I ended up voting two months ago, but that has been pretty clearly demonstrated as being a waste of time. So for however much longer I live in AZ, I'm going to exercise my right not to vote. Not much use in voting with a system this rigged against me.

I disagree.
If we quit, they win... and they don't even have to steal it.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

It's a very frustrating and maddening situation.

Imagine how the true and good republicans in congress feel? Tough to be them too....though they still get their perks.

That certainly is a winning strategy.

Not.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I'm in agreement. I see no benefit playing a game just so I "feel" like I'm doing something. The results are already decided before I leave the house. Playing by rigged rules is a fool's errand.
When the shooting starts I'll participate but until that day I'll let others play make believe.

You're correct. Feelings don't equal reality.

So instead of feeling like you are doing something, how about actually doing something? All of these things start local. Get involved.

I hear you and agree with the sentiment.
However, my personal belief is that it is far too late to gain ground by voting or trying to change anything meaningful within the current system in place. The corruption is to the bone and won't allow itself to be removed without something more atypical happening.

Want to experience the "your vote does not count" feeling, move to Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
There are no actual Republicans running and if there are, they get little or no support from the Republican party.
A Republican has to choose what Democrat would be the least painful to vote for.
I vote anyway!
Last election I voted for the "BUG", was the least painful choice at the time.
Before that outrage I choose Rahm Emanuel.
Its a nauseous experience voting here.

Republican Anna Paulina Luna defeated Democrat Eric Lynn in Florida’s 13th Congressional District on Tuesday, flipping party control of the seat previously held by former Rep. Charlie Crist (D).

The 13th was one of the few competitive districts left after the Florida state legislature approved a heavily gerrymandered congressional map pushed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) earlier this year. With more than 95 percent of precincts reporting results, Luna carried roughly 53 percent of the vote to Lynn’s 45 percent.

First video I’ve seen of newly sworn in Congresswoman, Luna questioning two CBP…(I’ll call them) Regional Directors. She gives a really good account of herself; well prepared and articulate. Glad she’s on our side.
