Lost, but making
good time
posted
Back in 2009, I posted a breakfast protection picture here on the Sig Forum and over the years it has become a popular picture on the net and it's been used in a bunch of meme's and posts. The most popular is "How American's Eat Breakfast". Each time it makes the rounds it gets a bunch of comments about what is wrong in the picture, many of which are warranted.
The coffee should be black.
The gun is laying on its wrong side.
It's not an American gun.
There's not enough meat.
Etc.

Here is the original picture from 2009, now watermarked.

I decided to do a new breakfast protection picture using that P228 and coffee mug with a few corrections. Unfortunately we got new kitchen countertops since 2009, but I think these are much nicer than the original white corian countertops.

Then I decided to do a real "how American's eat breakfast" picture.

I added more meat for a total of 4 pounds - a 32 ounce Rib Eye, 1 pound of bacon, and 1 pound of sausage links.

I added an egg, and took away one piece of toast. Much healthier that way - less carbs and more protein Wink

I substituted the P228 for a Springfield Professional .45acp, because it doesn't get more American than a 1911 chambered in .45acp.

And finally I substituted the coffee for bourbon. I'm sure some will complain that I chose Buffalo Trace and not something more high end, but it's my breakfast and I like Buffalo Trace.

I don't know if Elon Musk will ever see my upgraded American Breakfast picture but if he does, I hope he gives it a thumbs up.

Taking pictures can make you hungry, hence the bacon reduction.

Good eye Sir!
The original picture was three pounds of bacon. It was probably a little less because I'm sure I had to sample a few slices before I took the picture.

The second picture is only one pound. When I looked at it I was somewhat disappointed and it inspired me to do the third picture, but not the same day!

My comment was going to pretty much mirror Oddball’s. So, I will say, May your yolks be runny, and your steaks be on the rare side!

Looks great!

I love all of them...

But I'm kind of a fan of shiny Sigs...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
