Supercut of dems and media saying no one wants to take your guns. Beto has exposed that lie.

Beto Blows Lid Off ‘No One Wants to Take Your Guns’
'Hell yes, we're going to take you're AR-15, your AK-47'

Democrats and media members have pledged for years some version of "nobody wants to take your guns away" when gun control laws come up for debate.

Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D., Texas), in a reversal of a position he held last year, has called for mandatory buybacks of semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15 and AK-47.

If there was any confusion about whether that equaled confiscation, he said, to roars at Thursday night's Democratic primary debate in Texas, "Hell yes, we're going to take you're AR-15, your AK-47."

Going back to 2012, the Free Beacon found clips of numerous left-leaning figures who promised that such a position wasn't part of any gun control platform.

Politicians like Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), Sen. Chris Murphy (D., Conn.), former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (D.), California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D.), former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D.), former Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R.), Rep. Elijah Cummings (D., Md.), and Rep. Jim Himes (D., Conn.), journalists like Don Lemon, Tamron Hall, Erica Hill, and Ali Velshi, and celebrities like Katy Perry and Sarah Silverman all made similar assertions that if you liked your gun, you could keep your gun.

Shockingly, that's turned out to be wishful thinking.

One of those nitwits will get the nomination.

Afterwards, he or she will make a sudden pivot toward the center and start adjusting positions to be more acceptable for the general election.

All the crazy, nutjob positions the candidate held during the dem primary, will be forgotten by Democrats and used in commercials, as sound bytes, by Republicans.

In past elections maybe, but I don't think "moving to the middle" is going to be possible this time for the Dem nominee. When you're out there loudly supporting no borders, elimination of ICE, healthcare for illegals, firearm confiscations, government run healthcare with no private healthcare allowed, the Green New Deal, and many other as insane policy positions, returning to the middle for the general elections is not going to be possible. Doing so would create a firestorm with the lunatic left, and few independent voters are going to buy into that level of dishonesty and hypocrisy. The Dem candidate has backed himself/herself into a corner this time from which there is no escape. And in so doing they've guaranteed their defeat. IMO, that's why the Dem's hope they can nominate Joe Biden as he's the only Dem candidate who hasn't completely advocated for total socialism.

Does anyone remember this novel?

Unintended Consequences by John Ross?
That is what came to my mind. In Part 3 there is an escalating war on those who were in charge of the oppression and carried out their orders. The acronym ATFOTRAF was later coined as the motto of that book ("After The First One, The Rest Are Free"--a reference to the fact that you can only be executed once, no matter how many murders you've commited.)

Maybe Matt Bracken's Enemies Foreign and Domestic series.

There is concern that the key to the 2020 election will be the Millennials, a group that is decidedly Leftist and attuned to Socialist ideas (particularly the females). It is said that if a large number of those can be lured to the polls to vote it could turn the election to the Democrats. It may be difficult to overcome a huge influx of young Leftist voters, but I believe it can be done.

Millenials are far and away the most unreliable voters out there. And how motivated will they really be to show up on election day to vote for Biden or Warren (i.e. ancient white folks) when the Dem nominee will have backed away from virtually everything they've promised during the primary to try and win back the independent vote. The problem for the Dem's, which they're far too stupid to grasp is, they've moved so far left that the vast majority of independents will not support them, no Republican voters will support them, and even some older Dem's won't support them. And if Warren is the Dem nominee, my bet is she loses a huge chunk of the black vote. To win a general election, you need to win more than just your base. The Dem's are totally screwed on that front.

Not only won't support them, but may actively work to defeat them. I am one such independent that will do just that.

I would also add that they have a history of splitting their support (by splitting hairs, no doubt) and then being relatively unlikely to unify behind one candidate after the primary. They unified behind O, but there's only so much power to be mustered under the banner of virtue signaling. This is one thing that makes Biden such a great candidate for the Republicans, but it's likely to affect support for any of the other dwarves as well unless they really catch fire in the last few months of the election (rather than the primary).

You are going to hear all the complacency crimes that. occurred under the Kenyon and they know it. Michelle will NOT be in this race.
Besides Obama came in aa a "young Strapping Muslim" and left looking like Uncle Ben, all gray and significantly older looking.
Michelle is every Dems dream and Everyone else's nightmare, but she will only be talked about as a possibility, never entering.

Now this is entertaining.

Biden recounts harrowing incident with gang leader named 'Corn Pop'

Story:

A Twitter thread from the Root senior writer Michael Harriot renewed interest and skepticism about a story Joe Biden told, in which the former vice president claimed to have stood up to a local gang leader at a swimming pool in 1962.

Biden has regaled audiences with parts of the story several times, which he claims took place when he was a lifeguard at a predominantly black pool in Wilmington, Delaware. He remembers how when he kicked a local gang leader named "Corn Pop" out of the pool for violating the rules, Biden was warned that Corn Pop was going to be waiting for him after work with a switchblade.

Biden said he prepared himself by wrapping a metal chain around his arm. Corn Pop was waiting by Biden's car "with three guys and straight razors. Not a joke.”

“And I looked at him, but I was smart then, I said first of all, I said when I tell you to get off the board you get off the board, and I’ll kick you out again, but I shouldn’t have called you Esther Williams, I apologize for that," Biden said, revealing Corn Pop was stunned by the apology and decided to not attack him.

Harriot was skeptical of Biden's reason he became a lifeguard at a predominantly black pool, as well as the idea that a gang leader would respond graciously to an apology.

Parts of Biden's story have been corroborated by some of the people who frequented the pool. Former state NAACP President Richard “Mouse” Smith said Corn Pop was the leader of the Romans gang and had threatened Biden. Smith said Biden “stood his ground" against Corn Pop after he threatened to "cut him."
