Austin is just like Boulder... with much better food and music... but with much worse outdoor activities. The outdoors is the one thing that keeps me going to Boulder year after year... Eldorado Canyon and Boulder Canyon to rock climb, great hiking trails up into the foothills, fantastic road cycling up the canyons and all around the area. Austin and Boulder have the SAME ULTRA liberal mentality... that their attitude is the only one that counts and that their sh*t doesn't stink. | |||

I think it's just due to the fact that there's more space available in general the more south you go. The more north you go, the more urban it gets, the less space there is. There's a beautiful Wegmans right near my work but I rarely go there because the parking is SO tight and awful. I swear every space was laid out for a compact car. | |||
