Well it makes sense because you can see them spin up in the media and on social media when they get panicked about all this Epstein files stuff pointing back to Dems as they have gone into another cycle of pushing the Trump/Epstein connection hard this past week.

They're all too predictable.

That certainly is a quick wit! And it makes sense that he's got a quick wit. What's amazing is it's coupled with his drive and ambition to accomplish things.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Dan Bongino had John Solomon on his show today and Solomon made an interesting prediction:

That Trump will soon unveil evidence that foreign powers meddled in the 2020 election, which will result in John Thune ultimately caving on the filibuster and the Save America act will get passed.

“I think Donald Trump is going to change the narrative in America. I think he is going to change some Senators minds…

He is going to start revealing some of the intelligence that was kept from the American people. And we’re going to see that our foreign adversaries have monkeyed around with our (election) system more than we knew…

And I think when Senators realize their state could have been targeted… there is going to be a different debate in America…

I think there’s some big, significant, and very troubling revelations about the vulnerabilities of our elections that the President is about to unveil on the American public.”

Trump Announces 3 Projects Backed by Investment Under US–Japan Trade Deal

Investments totaling $36 billion will fund critical mineral, energy, and oil projects in Georgia, Ohio, and Texas, respectively.

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump has announced three new projects, worth a total of $36 billion, as the first stage of a trade deal with Japan that ultimately includes more than half a trillion dollars of funding for U.S. manufacturing and energy development.

“Our MASSIVE Trade Deal with Japan has just launched!” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform on Feb. 17.
“Japan is now officially, and financially, moving forward with the FIRST set of Investments under its $550 BILLION Dollar Commitment to invest in the United States of America — part of our Historic Trade Deal to REVITALIZE the American Industrial Base, create HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of GREAT American Jobs, and strengthen our National and Economic Security like never before.”

The first phase of the agreement includes a natural gas power facility in Ohio capable of generating 9.2 gigawatts of electricity, according to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

“We will strengthen grid reliability, expand baseload power, and support American manufacturing with affordable energy,” he wrote on X.

Another project will develop a facility to export approximately $20 billion to $30 billion worth of crude oil annually from deep waters in the Gulf of America near Texas.

Lutnick expects the project to “secure export capacity for our refineries, and reinforce America’s position as the world’s leading energy supplier.”

A new synthetic diamond manufacturing facility destined for Georgia will produce industrial grit, supplying enough of the critical material to satisfy U.S. demand, according to the commerce secretary.

Administration officials said the deal will prove mutually beneficial.

“The proceeds are structured so Japan earns its return, and America gains strategic assets, expanded industrial capacity, and strengthened energy dominance,” Lutnick said.

“The future has never been brighter.”

Trump said the deal evolved because tariffs strengthened his trade policies rooted in his America First agenda.

“The scale of these projects are so large, and could not be done without one very special word, TARIFFS,” Trump wrote, noting the new projects will “end our FOOLISH [dependence] on Foreign Sources.”

The president leveraged tariffs repeatedly in his first year back in the White House in an effort to recalibrate trade imbalances and spur domestic manufacturing developments.

“America is building again. America is producing again. And America is WINNING again,” Trump wrote.

“This is a very exciting and HISTORIC time for the United States of America and Japan. Congratulations to all!”

Obama Aides Dismissed Trump as 'Clown' Ahead of 2016 Win, Oral History Reveals

Several years before the 2016 presidential election, then-President Barack Obama and his team never fathomed Donald Trump could become a serious candidate to win the White House, according to a new set of oral history interviews.

The New York Times reported that the newly released interviews — compiled by Columbia University's Incite Institute in cooperation with the Obama Foundation — reveal how dismissive Obama's inner circle was of Trump in the years leading up to his victory.

"I don't think any of us really anticipated that Donald Trump would be a serious candidate for president, much less president," former Obama chief strategist David Axelrod recalled, describing overhearing Trump boast at the 2011 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner that he was "in front of the polls."

That same night, Obama mocked Trump from the stage, ridiculing the future president over his "Celebrity Apprentice" persona and birther claims — a moment that went viral and, some observers have suggested, may have helped galvanize Trump's political ambitions.

In the interviews, Obama aides described viewing Trump as a "con man," a "clown," and a "laughingstock," according to the Times.

Speechwriter Jon Favreau said he believed Trump was "a ridiculous human being who deserves to be ridiculed at every possible chance," and admitted that not "even a brief moment" crossed his mind that Trump could win the presidency.

Even as Trump surged in the 2016 Republican primary, the Obama team remained confident he would lose to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Former press secretary Josh Earnest recalled dismissing Trump's ideas as destined for "the dustbin of history," an assessment he later conceded was wrong.

Following Trump's election victory, the White House was "a dark place" in the days after the election, with aides describing a "pall over everything" as they confronted the reality that voters had rejected much of the Obama agenda, the Times reported.

Rather than engaging voters skeptical of trade deals, border security policies, and cultural upheaval, Obama-era officials often treated those grievances as backward or misinformed. Trump, by contrast, tapped directly into that discontent.

The newly released interviews, totaling more than 1,100 hours, provide a rare window into the mindset of an administration that believed its political coalition was durable, only to see it upended by a candidate it once laughed off stage.

Dems Plot Walkouts, Boycotts for Trump State of the Union

Democrat lawmakers are plotting a range of moves to broadcast their defiance of President Donald Trump during his State of the Union address to Congress next week.

Still stinging from last year's widely mocked protests, Democrats are weighing boycotts, walkouts, and competing rallies as Trump prepares to deliver his first State of the Union of his second term on Tuesday night.

According to The Hill, the speech is shaping up as a political flashpoint amid a Department of Homeland Security shutdown, with the White House and Democrats deadlocked over proposed reforms to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Some Democrats plan to skip the event altogether, while others say they may leave in protest mid-speech.

"The only question for me is which of his disgusting lines prompts me to get up and leave, because at some point I will," Rep. Jared Huffman, D-Calif., told Axios.

Rep. Shri Thanedar, D-Mich., told The Hill he is "thinking" about some form of protest, blasting Trump for what he called "massive corruption" and "despicable acts at Epstein's island."

Other Democrats are taking a more calculated approach, bringing guests meant to highlight policy grievances.

Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis., said she will bring a constituent who runs a nonprofit day care and advocates for Obamacare, saying she wants to spotlight "affordable childcare and health care for all."

The New York Times reported Democrats are attempting to avoid a repeat of last year, when Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, was ejected after waving a cane and shouting during Trump's address. Green was later censured by the House.

The Times also noted Democrats were ridiculed for waving paddles with slogans such as "Save Medicaid" and "False," which party leaders believed distracted from their message.

This year, a significant number of Democrats plan to boycott the speech and attend an alternative rally on the National Mall dubbed the "People's State of the Union," coordinated by MoveOn and the progressive media outlet MeidasTouch.

The event is expected to feature Democrat lawmakers and leftist commentators Joy Reid and Katie Phang.

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., told the Times that Trump "doesn't deserve an audience," claiming he will deliver "40 different lies" and use the speech to "paper over his corruption."

But even some Democrats are warning the theatrics could backfire.

Axios reported House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., urged members in a closed-door meeting to either attend in "silent defiance" or skip the speech.

One centrist Democrat told Axios last year's disruptions were "completely counterproductive" and "made us look like children."

Do it, let them turn their backs on a sitting president and prove, to American's they have no intention of working with anyone to the betterment of the country....

See how that works out for the mid-terms.

Right now we need to see the resurgence of Term Limit demands from the people...

They all need to go.... R included....2028 should be the great house cleaning...

I agree.
But most people won't vote against their own congress critter.
I do.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I'm pretty sure Trump will have some choice words for people who cause a ruckus or walk out during the speech. I never watch that stuff, but I'm sure the highlights will be watch worthy.

Trump: Board of Peace Will Make UN 'Run Properly'

President Donald Trump on Thursday said his Board of Peace not only will work with the United Nations on Gaza's future, the board will make sure the international organization "runs properly."

Speaking at the inaugural Board of Peace gathering at the Donald J. Trump U.S. Institute of Peace, Trump argued the U.N. has "tremendous potential" but has "not lived up to that potential."

He touted the new board as an action-oriented alternative to decades of what he portrayed as empty global talk.

"We’re going to be working with the United Nations very closely," Trump said in opening remarks shown live on Newsmax, adding that the Board of Peace will "almost be looking over the United Nations and making sure it runs properly," while the U.S. helps the U.N. "moneywise" and works to strengthen its facilities and operations.

Trump framed the board as a results-driven forum aimed at securing a durable postwar plan for Gaza after a ceasefire took hold last fall.

The board's first meeting took place with major unresolved issues still looming, including Hamas disarmament, Israeli troop withdrawals, humanitarian aid distribution, and the size and structure of a reconstruction fund expected to require tens of billions of dollars.

Trump, however, portrayed momentum as building.

He said the war in Gaza "is over" and pointed to a growing list of member nations pledging funds, personnel, and training for an international stabilization effort, while warning Hamas that any refusal to disarm would be "harshly met."

The president also used the gathering to praise his envoys and inner circle for what he called major diplomatic breakthroughs.

"I want to thank Steve and Jared for an amazing job," he said, referring to special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, whom Trump credited with helping deliver the Abraham Accords in his first term.

Trump then appeared to elevate Kushner's role even further, saying Kushner "will also now be an envoy for peace."

But that claim quickly earned clarification. I24 News correspondent Mordechai Wagenheim posted on X that a State Department official told him Kushner "will not become 'an envoy for peace' in an official sense," despite Trump’s remarks.

The broader initiative has drawn international attention and skepticism partly because it touches the U.N.'s traditional role as the world's primary diplomatic platform.

Some U.S. allies have declined to join, while others have participated only as observers, raising questions about legitimacy and long-term structure.

Still, Trump’s message Thursday was that America is leading, demanding accountability, and pushing institutions like the U.N. to deliver measurable results — with the president insisting that peace, not endless bureaucracy, should be the international system’s bottom line.
