Sortof not really, post Iraq-invasion, the damage assessment of various Saddam bunkers and complexes revealed the existing 'bunker-buster' weren't performing on certain targets. By 2007 discussion and funding sources were being generated to develop a more effective solution, meanwhile the UN Security Council passed a number of resolutions demanding Iran halt their uranium enrichment program, thus Iran became the principal use target for the new weapon's program.
They're not certain. In the language of intelligence reporting, the DIA report that was 'leaked' had the header 'LOW PROBABILITY', which means the report is short on evidence and the conclusion is speculative, unlike common language where using such language would be low chance of success. As everyone who's ever followed military action, the first reports from the battlefield are nearly always inaccurate and incomplete. Unfortunately, the press in their eagerness to highlight and elevate ANY less-than desirable news about DJT, they ran with that 'report' without giving any context to the language usage; never mind if this 'leaked' report was genuine. The presser that Hegseth rants to the press while satisfying, didn't help things since that specific press group which covers defense issues is usually pretty accommodating to defense officials; their editors who do the editing & headlines deserve the scorn. As for Israeli HUMINT, yup, they're the principal conduit for information around that entire region and it's safe to say they've got their tentacles in just about every hot-spot. It's their backyard and in return the US provides material support while also allowing access to their bases.

Defending Israel Has Depleted America’s Anti-Missile Arsenal. https://thenationalpulse.com/2...nti-missile-arsenal/ During the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran, the U.S. deployed a significant portion of its Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile system to bolster Israel’s defenses. The conflict included strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and retaliatory Iranian missile launches targeting Israeli cities. The THAAD system, developed by Lockheed Martin, is critical for intercepting short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles. Unlike the Patriot system, it covers a larger area and comprises a launcher, interceptor, radar, and fire control unit. However, during the conflict, the THAAD system failed to intercept Houthi missiles on at least two occasions, with one missile striking near Tel Aviv‘s Ben Gurion International Airport. Reports indicate that the U.S. used 15-20 percent of its global THAAD missile stockpile during the conflict, incurring costs exceeding $800 million. A single THAAD interceptor costs between $12 and $15 million. The deployment has raised concerns about the readiness of U.S. missile defense systems for future conflicts. Tom Karako, director of the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), commented on the situation, saying, “Neither the U.S. nor the Israelis can continue to sit and intercept missiles all day. The Israelis and their friends need to move with all deliberate haste to do whatever needs to be done, because we cannot afford to sit and play catch.” As a result of the conflict, the U.S. will need to urgently restock its THAAD interceptors. This is not only vital for Israel but also for other regions where such systems may be required, including the Middle East, the Pacific, and Europe. During the conflict, a similar report claimed that Israel had also begun to run low on ballistic missile interceptors. The report came shortly before both Israel and Iran agreed to a ceasefire. _________________________

"No more Mister Nice Guy No more Mister Clean" Israel Vows To Maintain Air Superiority Over Iran Israel's defense minister ordered the IDF to devise a plan to keep Iran from restoring its ballistic missile capabilities and furthering its nuclear program by Howard Altman Published Jun 27, 2025 5:09 PM EDT Though U.S. President Donald Trump helped broker a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, officials in Jerusalem are taking no chances. On Friday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to prepare an “enforcement plan” against Iran that includes a clear threat of future kinetic actions. The plan calls for “maintaining Israel’s air superiority, preventing nuclear advancement and missile production, and responding to Iran for supporting terrorist activities against the State of Israel,” Katz proclaimed on X. “We will act consistently to thwart threats of this kind. I suggest that the toothless snake’s head in Tehran understand and beware: Operation Rising Lion was just the preview of a new Israeli policy.” “After October 7th,” Katz added, “immunity is over.” That was a reference to the day in 2023 when Hamas launched its surprise attack on Israel that touched off the latest round of bloodshed in the Middle East. Katz provided no further details about how Israel might act against Iran, which has historically backed Hezbollah and the Houthi rebels of Yemen, as well as Hamas, among other groups still engaged in kinetic actions with Israel... These "articles" spreading pure speculation of missile and weapon inventory are based off rumor to spread disinformation to our enemies, like all the negative press about the F35 which has been totally air dominant in an absolute hornets nest. Other nations systems are either extremely poor or untested. The Russian systems are performing so poor, that even the third world are cancelling orders of the chinese copies. We can outproduce any other nation in quantity and effectiveness. I believe NOTHING coming from any single media source. All of them have an agenda to keep their marketed eyes on their articles. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

The past is not the present, but when I hear claims about U.S. capabilities today, I vividly recall my concerns before the start of the first Gulf War. I had spent my entire Army career studying and hearing about what a dangerous foe the Soviet Union would be if we ever had to go to war, and especially because of how good their weapons systems were. Knowing that Iraq had those weapons and had extensive experience in its war with Iran, the thought of the Coalition’s attacking Saddam’s forces was more than a little worrying, and not just to me. This is one quotation from the time: “The Iraqis are too combat-experienced to run away under fire. … The [U.S.] Army’s armored and mechanized forces can play no offensive role against the vast defensive strength of the Iraqi army.” — Edward N. Luttwak, Center for Strategic and International Studies (For the historical knowledge impaired at this late date, the assault on Iraqi forces was an absolute one-sided slaughter.) As I say, the past is not now and sometimes things do change, but it’s like clickbait titles on YouTube videos: Pundits want us to pay attention to them, and one of the best ways of doing that is to convince us that they have something “shocking” (another YouTuber favorite) to tell us. ► 6.0/94.0 To operate serious weapons in a serious manner.

Hegseth presses defense industry to ramp up munitions amid depleted stocks, China threat https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth gathered some of the leaders of America’s largest military contractors for a closed-door meeting at the Pentagon last week, urging them to ramp up the production of critically needed munitions amidst depleted weapons stocks and a growing threat from China, Just the News has learned. A senior Trump administration official, who declined to be named in order to describe a private discussion, told Just the News that the main reason for Thursday’s closed-door meeting with defense company leaders — which included well-known firms such as Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and BAE Systems — was to seek to hold munitions manufacturers accountable so that U.S. warfighters are equipped to face 21st century threats. The closed-door meeting came shortly after Hegseth gave an impassioned defense of the powerful U.S. military strikes against Iranian nuclear sites earlier in June. The official also told Just the News that Hegseth and Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg, who was also at the meeting with the industry leaders, are working to fix the inefficiencies enabled and ignored by their predecessors, and that the duo encouraged the defense company executives to rise to the moment to meet the significant challenge. Unprecedented global threats Hegseth told the defense company leaders that the U.S. faces unprecedented global threats and does not have years to wait for the munitions needed to deter or even fight U.S. adversaries, other sources who wished to remain anonymous told Just the News. Reportedly, Hegseth told them that both he and the president wanted to resolve the issue swiftly. The U.S. military’s air campaign against Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen, the U.S.’s years-long effort to supply a massive number of weapons systems and armaments to Ukraine in its fight against Russian invaders, in addition to the U.S.' assistance in the defense of Israel against Iranian missile barrages have all eaten into the U.S. weapon supply. Great an "unnamed source" and a bunch of links to other media source articles with speculation and no actual data. At least it did mention our capacity to get production into high gear and previous demorrhoid administrations hindering production capabilities. That is going to end post haste. There is no actual public intel on our inventories. That is national security information. The doom and gloom bullshit over the Bradley being not produced when it has a modern replacement in production. This is what I'm talking about with the media. https://www.theepochtimes.com/...BFajR3Yv6FDjj9j04%3D Trump Says He Will Not Be Offering Anything to Iran, No Plans for Talks The president said in a social media post that he is not talking to Iran after B-2 bombers ’totally obliterated their nuclear facilities.’ U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he is not offering Iran anything and is not planning to engage in any talks with the regime in Tehran, following the strikes on their nuclear facilities on June 21. Trump made his position clear in a social media post referencing Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), who had mentioned press reports that the administration was moving towards an Obama-style nuclear deal. In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said, “Tell [...] Coons I am not offering Iran ANYTHING, unlike Obama, who paid them $Billions under the stupid [..] road to a Nuclear Weapon JCPOA (which would now be expired!), nor am I even talking to them since we totally OBLITERATED their Nuclear Facilities.” In a June 29 interview on Fox News, Coons said, “I’ll just note that President Trump, by press accounts, is now moving toward negotiation and offering Iran a deal that looks somewhat similar to the Iran deal that was offered by [former President Barack] Obama.” Trump’s comments come as Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, told the BBC that Tehran would insist the United States must rule out further strikes before nuclear talks can resume. ‘Law of the Jungle’ Takht-Ravanchi said Iran would also insist on a right to enrich uranium for what it says is a program to produce nuclear energy and not weapons. He said, “The level of that can be discussed, the capacity can be discussed, but to say that you should not have enrichment, you should have zero enrichment, and if do you not agree, we will bomb you, that is the law of the jungle.” The United States and Iran were in talks about Tehran’s nuclear program when Israel launched airstrikes across Iran on June 13. Over several days the Israeli air force bombed major targets in Iran, including nuclear facilities and missile sites. Tehran responded by launching drones and missiles at Israel. On June 21, several U.S. B-2 bombers attacked three of Iran’s nuclear sites, including the Fordow facility, which is buried hundreds of feet underground in a mountainous region. Fordow was targeted with the GBU-57, also known as the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) or bunker-buster, a 30,000-pound bomb designed to burrow and explode deep underground. On June 24, CNN, quoting a leaked early assessment by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), suggested the Fordow facility had not been destroyed. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on the social media platform X, “This alleged ”assessment“ is flat-out wrong and was classified as ”top secret“ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community.” “The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program.” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said in a statement, “Based on everything we have seen—and I’ve seen it all—our bombing campaign obliterated Iran’s ability to create nuclear weapons.” On June 25, the White House published a statement titled “Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Have Been Obliterated — and Suggestions Otherwise are Fake News.” On June 23, Iran fired missiles at U.S. bases in Qatar. No casualties were reported. Iranian leader Ali Khamenei said Iran had delivered a blow to the United States and claimed the U.S. air strikes on June 21 “achieved nothing.” Grossi: Iran Could Enrich Uranium ‘Within a Few Months’ On June 29, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi said in a June 27 interview with CBS News that Iran could begin enriching uranium again within a few months. “The capacities they have are there. They can have, you know, in a matter of months, I would say, a few cascades of centrifuges spinning and producing enriched uranium, or less than that. But as I said, frankly speaking, one cannot claim that everything has disappeared and there is nothing there,” Grossi said. “It can be, you know, described in different ways, but it’s clear that what happened in particular in Fordo, Natanz, Isfahan, where Iran used to have and still has, to some degree, capabilities in terms of treatment, conversion and enrichment of uranium have been destroyed to an important degree.”
