Same. We don’t need to be sucked in.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

It takes only one to start a war, but everyone involved must decide to end it. (And no, neither Israel nor the US started this one.)

I support Israel 110%, but we did not need to get involved in this.

I agree, but I also think there needed to be a solid butt-stomping. If Israel did it, then good. If the U.S. did it, then good. If another country did it, then good. Solve the problem, slam the door, and walk away. Someone had to do it.

God bless America.

Well someone needed to rid the world of Iran's nuke junk so...us it is. Word is Iran's proxies are showing some kind of movement. Israel needs to take down that Iranian whack job at the top if their will ever be change. The Iranian people aren't equipped to do so. All that enriched uranium, what becomes of that in a large explosion ? Is the junk a danger to locals living near by ?

I trust Trump. He did this during his previous administration several times (targeted hits, one and done kind of stuff) and did not drag us into any new wars.

Reality is, we are the only ones who could do it without nukes (excluding those who are not already in bed with Iran, like Russia).

The Iranians are perpetually dishonest, about everything, with the exception of their declaration that their ultimate national goal is to destroy the state of Israel and all Jews in the world.

It matters not how you feel about Jews and the state of Israel. Matters not. If the Iranians achieved nuclear status, they would have the capability to decimate Israel, a country roughly the size of Delaware.

You can hate Jews or love them. You can support the state of Israel or wish for its destruction. It matters not, because the chain of events which would be set off by a nuclear Iran would affect virtually every single person in all industrialized nations of the world.

Israel does not possess the capability to reach a target 300 feet below solid rock. It fell to the United States to reach that target.

The human race is composed of high-order social primates who now possess God-like technologies. We're fancy monkeys with hydrogen bombs. At some point, the true mega-weapons (not the firecrackers we dropped on Japan in 1945) are absolutely certain to be used, and once that happens, it's Katy, bar the door. Today's action by the United States may very well have pushed back this inevitability by many years.

I trust the judgement of President Trump. This is not blind loyalty. I sincerely trust the man's judgement. I await his remarks at 10 PM, but whatever he says, I know, without any doubt, that the government of Iran is composed of batshit crazy zealots, with whom there is no reasoning, and no trusting them. That which they refuse to surrender, we must take from them. There is no other choice.

Guys, all should know there was only one way to end Iran's current nuke program as it is today. And only one country that could do it.

A usable nuke in the mulla's paws was a no go certainly at this point in history.

Didn’t repeat the mistakes made with North Korea in the 90’s.

Correct neither existed in the 7th century AD when this started and it will not stop until this ideology sees the light and changes.

I don’t think the ideology will see the light. Ever.

Civilized people (countries) will bear the burden of tamping down the ideology’s hatred for eons to come. There’s no ending it — there’s only constantly containing it.

That’s just my opinion, and worth every cent y'all paid for it.

The “ideology” is a deeply-held fundamental religious belief that Iranians have been indoctrinated with in a tightly-controlled society since their early childhoods for some 46 years. How many devout Christians would be willing to change their basic beliefs if pressured by a bunch of unbelievers?

It’s not as if Islamic dogma and beliefs were like Nazism in Germany or militarism in Japan that were damped down by occupying powers following the war. And even in those countries among many people it was an example of, “Just because you’ve silenced someone doesn’t mean you’ve converted him.”
