Second 'Nee Car Day' post in six months. I got a GR Corolla back in May, fun little go cart, but it has the quality of a go cart. I decided I needed something nicer, I'm an adult (sort of). Wasn't the best financial decision in the world, but man is this thing sweet. 2025 RS 5 Competition: This message has been edited. Last edited by: Skins2881, Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

But is it faster than a brown 1972 Ford Pinto?

Almost, that's an extremely high bar to meet. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Well, brown was the fastest color on that model.

Which car is faster? Which is better on a winding road? Which is more fun to drive?

Sad to see you go from our community, but you gots to do what you gots to do. My CE is only used for corners, driven in absolute anger, in all weather conditions/seasons. DD, yep, there are better options but I love my car. Will be in the garage for 20-25 years or financial ruination What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

How does it compare to a blue Ford Fusion?

It's like a fancier, faster version. The Fusion had every option available, so it was very nice, but this is another level. It's like the mature version. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

That's the one thing this can't do better than the GR. Winter tires/wheels are going to set me back another $3k. Such a fun little angry go-kart. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

See Prefontaine's post/reply. This is light years better except in balls to the wall cornering. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Nice car, Skins!
My first car was a 1973 copper colored Mustang II. At least it wasn't as likely to explode if rear-ended. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Congratulations Jesse. That’s a pretty sweet car. I have always liked Audi, but always seemed to buy Mercedes or BMW when it came to the Germans. Any Audi with the little red S tag, will be fun to drive. I also appreciate that it’s debadged. It makes it look so much cleaner. Congratulations on a really nice car. The “lol” thread

RS 5 Competition. It's the top of the line in performance and I think it's similar to prestige in trim. Everything is Alcantara and I'm not aware of any other options for it.
Thank you Beancooker! Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Congrats. Right now, I think I'd take the GR, but i have days where I miss my Mercedes & the Audi would get the nod. Still enjoying the go-kart nature of the Cooper [even though it's an auto] too much to go back to Lux. The Enemy's gate is down.

Apparently the RS5 doesn't have different trim levels. Who'da thunk it? So how's that exhaust sound? I pass an older RS5 cabrio some days and the exhaust note is fantastic! Enjoy your new toy...er...responsible mode of transportation. It looks fantastic!

Thanks for the photos. Great looking car. It’ll get you to work in record time. You have a radar detector? Serious about crackers
