Well, back at dealership Eek

Has small creaking/clicking noise coming from headliner or visor. Sitting in Q7 loaner. Such much for showing my work buddies on Monday. Roll Eyes

Didn't notice it on test drive or with music on. Oh well. Just sucks it will be four+ hours of driving to pickup and drop off. Dealership was hour from my house to find this exact model/trim/color.

That sucks!

When you get more seat time, let us know how the massaging seat is, please. I'm in the market and not sure if it is worth it or not.

The heads up display I thought was going to be a pain in the butt when I got my A6, but boy was I wrong. I love it and wish my wife's Q7 had it.

My new Genesis G70 has heads up display. I haven’t activated it yet, and didn’t plan to. I thought it would be distracting. With your recommendation maybe I’ll try it.

My 2018 Accord Touring and my2024 Mazda CX-90 have HUDs. I got used to it very quickly. It's not distracting, quite the opposite. Especially helpful to have GPS turn instructions up on the HUD.

I only tried the massaging seat for a few minutes. I need to understand the function of it better before I make any conclusions on it. I was surprised that it was also in the passenger seat. It appears to work by filling a bladder with air to function, not like your standard massage chair with rollers.

I currently have the HUD turned off while I get comfortable driving the car. I want it to be second nature before I add in a potential distraction. The Audi Brand Technologist showed me how to set everything up and disable things I wanted off, which for now the HUD falls under.

Sweet ride. You will eventually love the HUD. I got it on my Lexus NX, and it is a huge driving aid. You have access to almost all vehicle functions via voice, HUD and steering wheel controls. It's certainly not a distraction, and quite useful.

We took my wife's WRX straight from the dealer to Discount Tire for a second set of rims and Michelin Crossclimate 2's. About $2500.

Yeah, I mean I’d leave that Audi for dead in the corners. Rain, sleet, snow, or shine.
Most of that is just size (GRC is tiny for a modern performance car), AWD system differences, and the fact that the Audi is 750 pounds heavier. She is a much larger and heavier bitch but with a way more hoss motor. The RS5C would smoke my car in a straight line. Not even a contest. Full second to 60 mph quicker in your new ride.
The Audi is a WAY better daily driver. You went from thoroughbred canyon carver, to freeway bomber. The CE isn’t my DD.

See Prefontaine's post/reply. This is light years better except in balls to the wall cornering.

Yup.
Dedicated weekend/fun car that you use to hammer corners in your twisties, canyons, mountains, etc, GRC.
Driving engagement, GRC.
Track car, GRC.

Everything else the RS5C. It’s a luxury car, but the M badge sort of thing for Audi.
You get a more comfortable interior, and a real luxury interior. A friend has the RS3, and got damn those seats are nice! You get full on sportscar straight line speed with the RS5 that can hang with most anything on the road unless it’s a supercar. And that’s saying something. 444 HP Twin Turbo 2.9L V6 setup. I would take that motor over a domestic V8 producing the same power. Because Forced Induction. Slap a mild tune on there and just a couple of small bolt ons to get more air into the motor and blow it back out, quicker, and you’re at supercar levels of straight line speed. Turbos are made to mod. V8’s it’s a waste of time. All the modcons available. You ain’t getting all that shit it in a Toyota.

And lastly, yeah you signed up for shittier gas mileage, but who gives a flying fuck about MPG! Razz Congrats brother, that thing is a beast, and more of a fit for what you are actually going to do with it. Considerable price jump but I get trying to get the CE to work, and satisfy. Considerably less expensive. But I will add one thing. My Eclipse GSX AWD Turbo, STi hatch, Focus RS, and CE, have something in common. As well as each model of EVO we got in the states. They are “based” on an Eclipse, Impreza, Focus, Corolla, or Lancer. The Japanese take those, beef up the chassis (significantly and even more so with the RS and GRC), add or upgrade the base AWD, with diffs and/or torque vectoring half shafts. Put in a turbo motor, suspension, braking systems, to match, 6spd MT, etc, etc. The rally car treatment, but for the street, built to handle any weather condition there is and be fast as fuck. But you ain’t taking the Rolla/Lancer/Impreza out of it altogether. That bothers some people, others, we’re used to it and what we signed up for.

Congrats again on the new beast brother! I hope you keep this one, jump on the forum, figure out the few bolt ons and tune it, and report back. She’ll give you a whole nuther gear!

Nice choice on the Audi, Jesse.
I might have made you an offer on the GR, if we were a little closer.
Enjoy.

Probably the only Audi I would ever buy. The coupe just looks like the body is shrink wrapped with great lines and the interior of the S is great with the RS even better.

Those wheels have been around forever and are still probably my all time favorites.

sensational. I would have to take my chances without a front plate. Fabulous looking car though. Just some about their coupes that just look right to me. I would hang onto that one forever because of the V8.

Ice ride Jesse! I've always thought of Audi as the 4 door version of Porsche since they share many parts.

I had the green metallic, good for an extra 2 mph.
Mine performed some amazing automotive feats and was the last car I owned without A/C.

It is actually a Sportback even though it looks like a sedan. Actually pretty cool, gives a lot more flexibility for putting things in the trunk than if the glass didn't lift up too.

I opted for an M-badged German instead of an S-badged German. BUT

I love my sleeper saloon, and if you appreciate the finer things in automotive transport you will too.

For me, having a fast, feature-rich ICE car has been extremely satisfying and absolutely worth the expense.

Rock on, baller!
