I'm confused and couldn't find pictures on the Audi website. Does the window not lift up with the rear hatch? If it does not, will it be easy to load gear in the back? Do the rear seats fold down? Thanks!

Again, beautiful car!

Window does not lift out of rear hatch. This is how it looks with trunk open. It's the same as the BMW 4-series.

This the same year, trim and color as mine.

Oh that's nice!

We took my son's car to buy a wet/dry vac and it wouldn't fit through the trunk opening.

I'd turn the HUD back on. It's probably the least distracting of any modern tech your car has. If it's done well, it'll keep your eyes on the road, your hands up on the wheel.

Thanks, Rick! Very nice feature. I assume the rear seats fold down too?

Yes they do. Pretty good cargo capacity. I hauled some guitars and amps this weekend.

Sooo, what's the word on the RS? Are you back in it, or do you need to wait until the weekend to get back to the dealer to pick it up? Are you 'jonesin' or what? Razz

Also, a question...

Are there differences between the 2024 vs the 2025 models, or more specifically, was there something you were set on? I see on the website I can 'Build & Price' a 2024 RS5 Coupe w/ the Competition Package, and there are vehicles in inventory w/ that option on dealer lots. That said, it seems Audi has moved to the MY 2025 with the RS5 Sportback on the website, but there are plenty of 2024 RS5 Sportbacks w/ the Competition Package in dealer inventories.

No question the Sportback is more practical, even the rear seat looks usable, just wondering what drove your decision. Wink

I like the looks of the coupes, but I did want a 4dr for myself. There is a 2024 that matches everything I want (don't think there's a difference in MYs 24-25), but it's in VA Beach (3.5+hrs). There's also one 2025 in NY that I was thinking about getting shipped. The Sebring Black Crystal paint I fell in love with isn't that common and the Comp Package also rarer. Unless the dealers in my area don't list on car guru the combination of paint and performance are extremely rare I drove to Maryland to get it.

Yes I'm Jonesing, they said it would probably be ready yesterday. Apparently they found a service bulletin regarding the noise from the headliner. They have to drop the headliner and replace some clips or something. Hopefully they will have it done today. Driving the Q7 loaner car isn't horrible though.

In the meantime I've selected some 20x9 lightweight inexpensive wheels wrapped in 275/30ZR20 Pilot AS4's for the winter. Now I'm hunting for a 20 year old pickup or SUV to drive when there's salt on the road or if there's somewhere I don't want to drive my new baby.

I was wondering about the color...I looked closely at the pics you posted but it didn't it didn't appear to be anything other than regular ole Mythos Black Metallic. I'd imagine that Sebring Black Crystal Effect looks incredible in the sun, and in changing light! I for one, can't wait to see some better pics of your impressive new German steed that'll highlight the 'Crystal Effect'! Wink

Regarding the coupe, I can attest that it's not all that practical of a vehicle. It's actually a pain in the ass to even put anything in the back seat, let alone a human, and the trunk opening is too narrow/shallow for it to be very useful to put much of anything in there, though I was able to get a pretty big hard-side suitcase in there for an int'l trip my son took for business earlier this year.

In the interim, if you're in need of an Audi fix, I'm happy to help a guy out, so here's a couple of pics of my 'Menacing' V8 Coupe, practically sitting on the ground to satisfy your 'jones' Razz

So much for live free or die! Roll Eyes

While “DAS V8” is fantastic, the plate really ruins the front end’s appearance. Big Grin

I had AS3+ on 2 cars & they were fantastic, I'm sure the AS4 is a step above still.
Wet, dry, deluge, sub-freezing, they did amazingly in it all.

Nice wheels. The prime benefit of aluminum wheels is low unsprung weight. But on many new cars the stylists have added gobs of useless aluminum resulting in heavy wheels with poor strength to weight ratio.

Not only counterproductive, but such wheels look ugly to me. I count myself lucky that my new Genesis G70 has decent wheels. I saw a Genesis SUV on the dealer’s floor with the ugly gobs-of-aluminum plague.

Was seriously considering Flow One F2's for winter wheels before going with the Niche M192 wheels for summer, and relegating a set of Rotiform BLQ's to winter duty.

I feel like a bum just looking at your cars. Most everything I've ever driven daily probably cost less than your wheels and tires...

Very nice car. Never been in an Audi, but it definitely fits the "successful adult" aesthetic.

A Perpetual Disappointment...
