Ah, shit. I edited your post when I intended to quote it. The pertinent sections remain intact.

What I want you to do is stop behaving as if you're sitting back, watching a bunch of children fight and it's offending your only-adult-in-the-room sensibilities. Here's an example, in this very post of yours:

You may not realize it, but this stuff comes across as if you're the only one around here with any maturity, any sense, and any self-control, and that you can barely tolerate being associated with uncouth dunderheads who snatched your chilled salad fork.

Tucker did an opinion show.
Sure, it was commentary on the news but it was his opinion.
Did you disagree with his opinion? Fine. State your disagreement. That's conversation.
But Not True! is not an argument.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Don't tell me- you posted something and then felt the need to delete it immediately- because "it's just not worth it."

Either that, or my eyes are deceiving me.

It isn’t worth it. You deleted most of what I posted, and I had no idea what was going on. And it contained a lot I did not say. It said “who is posting under my account”.

You posted that you did it, so I deleted it.

The Five is the only show I watch on Fox News. It's excellent. Intelligent, logical, level-headed, good people with good heads on their shoulders, funny, great analysis and perspective, and voices from both sides of the aisle.

Tucker's demeanor irritated me as well. Just couldn't watch him anymore. Good content, but just unenjoyable TV. A few of his YouTube interviews, like his latest with Elon Musk, were good.

But I agree losing his voice on mainstream TV is a loss overall.

It was a mistake, which you most surely should know. The Quote and Edit buttons are tiny and side-by-side and unlike members who have the Edit button only for their own posts, I have that button on every post, and the only surprise- given all of that- is that I don't make this mistake more often, especially given the volume of posting I do.

People familiar with the situation who were not authorized to comment publicly said the decision to fire Carlson came straight from Fox Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch.

Carlson’s exit is related to the discrimination lawsuit filed by Abby Grossberg, the producer fired by the network last month, the people said.

Murdoch is also said to be concerned over Carlson’s coverage of the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, in which the host has promoted the conspiracy theory that it was provoked by government agents. Carlson has called Ray Epps — a Texas man who participated in the storming of the Capitol but did not enter the building — an FBI plant, without presenting any evidence.

[The plot thickens. The Epps issue might be setting up another lawsuit, or at least the honchos at Fox might be worried about that possibility. The Abby Grossberg lawsuit seems like a small-potatoes issue given Carlson’s value to the network otherwise. The Washington Post also is reporting that the comments about management uncovered by Dominion’s attorneys were the breaking point. — Ed]

People are lazy - if you can just hit the button on your TV remote and watch Tucker, that's easy. If you have to sit down at your computer in your office and navigate to a web site to watch his new show (I hope) less people will hear his important message.

There are some insiders who say the opposite, and I think they might not be far off the mark. Both of these friends of Carlson seem to think an independent Tucker Carlson will be bigger and better. And remember, Joe Rogan is still huge today, perhaps more so than Tucker.

My $.02 is that even if we think Tucker had control of his show that was a facade. When 2000 mules came out not one of the hosts on Fox News covered it. Not one, why because the owners didn’t want them to. Then when McCarthy released 10,000 hours of Jan 6. only to Tucker he got one night of it and really wasn’t anything jaw dropping. Why did McCarthy only release it to Fox? My thoughts are because they could control what was covered, and not covered. Then it still looks favorable on McCarthy, to those not looking any deeper into it.

I don't know how this redemption of Megyn Kelly has come about, but first I see her running her Trump-hating suck about transgenders, "taking a stand" on something where all common sense people are already standing, and now she's talking about Carlson and FoxNews?

Missy, it was a mistake for FoxNews ever to hire you, and the only reason you got on the air was because of your looks, and that is all, so don't think you can act all ignignant about things people with common sense already know and understand, and that we're going to forget your attitude towards the only effective president we've had since Ronald Reagan.

Go get your fucking hair done, or have a bikini wax or take a douche. Don't waste my fucking time. You may be fooling others, and others may have forgotten, but you're not fooling me and I haven't forgotten who you really are.

^^^ Ignignant - I like it. Ignorantly indignant.

Whether this was a slip of the typo finger or intentional wordsmithing, I say we keep it. It's apropos.

I just cancelled Fox Nation. Then I went back and looked to see if they kept any of Tucker's reruns. Nope, they really parted ways. No surprise really but there must have been some big time meetings at Fox last weekend.

I cant stand Hannity, and I enjoyed Tucker. He had a lot of stories nobody else did.

I didn't watch every day, but I did watch a lot. This is pretty much the end of Fox news for me. I liked Bongino too. I don't have the time to listen to podcasts, so I wont be able to listen if Tucker has some new show somewhere.

As for Tuckers "consipracy" theories, I think we can all agree that almost all of the major ones that have been cried about the last 5 years are coming true or being proven. In fact its hard to keep up lately with how much is actually true. But we wont hear about it as much anymore, and that is a loss for our side.

Fox Nation keeps screwing with the GUI (which is/was frustrating!), but all of the Tucker Carlson Tonight (under Fox News Primetime) and Tucker Carlson Today content is still there! The Tucker Carlson Originals appears to be gone though...

Tucker Carlson is Don Lemon's opposite. And that isn't a compliment. Perhaps not in personality or character, but in their place in this world.

One is yes and one is no. One is up and one is down. I'm not gonna say one is black and one is white!!!

They are both saying what a certain group wants to hear for money. They are neither correct.

He was very accessible at Fox and that was a good thing in general. I hope he remains easily watched somewhere and keeps the real news coming.

If one of the earlier posts was correct, a lot of middle aged dems watched him and that can't be a bad thing!

Whatever the reason or whomever made the decision to get rid of him, it silences another voice that questioned circumstances, shame on FOX.
