The story is not about Tucker and his financial stability, or any windfall he will receive. They knew how much people like me wanted to hear Tucker's insight, and with this removal Fox has successfully marginalized him and his message. A week ago he had the largest news media stage in the world. He will never regain that.

Justin Wells, Carlson's Senior Executive producer since the start of his show, was also fired yesterday.

I don’t find Abby Grossberg to be very believable.
Who are the political candidates that Tucker threatened?
What candidate would need to be threatened to be on the top rated show?

Abby Grossberg on working for Tucker Carlson: "There was an aspect of 'I can pick who the Speaker is. I can pick who the president of the United States is, pick who the Republican candidate is going to be.' I thought that was very dangerous and didn't want that kind of power. I didn't want to have senate candidates calling me and being very upset 'are you gonna destroy our whole campaign tonight' because he could do that. He would call and tell them that if they don't come on the show, we will destroy you."

Link to Twitter where you can listen to her in her own words.

Never heard of her.

It's true that there have been media personalities who played the role of king-makers of a sort- Walter Winchell comes immediately to mind, but I don't think Carlson had that role- at least not any more than some other widely-known, top news personalities- and I don't think he viewed himself that way.

Then again, perhaps he does have an ego that massive, but whether he did or not, it's not as if he could put someone in the White House with his endorsement

Mark Dice said earlier today that it's possible he may be under an NDA and we'll probably never hear him say anything about FOX. The rest of his contract was about two years, so while they bought him out of his contract, it may also be another two years before he can work in news, even independently. I guess we'll see, either way.

That's assuming Fox News didn't pay off the rest of his contract plus a severance pay contingent on him not saying anything about the details of his departure. Sort of like what Trump paid Stormy Daniels.

But I am interested to know the details myself.

That's the kind of opinion that I like because it runs counter to what everybody else is chasing and no one else is talking about it.

And when you consider it, it's possible but highly improbable. But you consider it's not talked about much and then the needle moves back to within the realm of probability because of the fact it's not talked about much and it's not such a hare brained idea.

Democrat RFK Jr. Says Tucker Carlson Is 'Breathtakingly Courageous' in Wake of Fox News Departure

RFK Jr., who just last week launched his 2024 campaign for the Democratic nomination for president, suggested that Carlson's Fox News exit came because of the host's recent monologue about pharmaceutical companies

OAN Founder Says He'd Pay Tucker Carlson $25 Million To Join Network

BY TYLER DURDEN
TUESDAY, APR 25, 2023 - 12:40 PM

San Diego-based One America News CEO and founder Robert Herring Sr. has an offer for Tucker Carlson: $25 million to join the network.

"Maybe Fox News' loss could be @OANN's gain, Founder and CEO @RobHerring would like to extend an invitation to Carlson to meet for negotiation," the network tweeted on Monday, hours after we learned that Lachlan Murcoch had fired the #1 cable news host from Fox News.

It is still unknown what his next move will be. Many speculate that Carlson will join another right-wing network or he will create his own show.

When reached for comment, Herring told Times of San Diego via email: "It would be great if we could get Tucker! I might give him around $25 million. And he would be well worth that!"

Carlson was making between $15 and $20 million a year hosting "Tucker Carlson Tonight," according to Forbes.

He's also received an offer from Russia's state-sponsored RT network.

According to the NYT, "Howard Polskin, who compiles a daily newsletter, TheRighting, that tracks conservative news outlets, said that Mr. Carlson could join niche networks like NewsNation or Newsmax. He could start his own media brand, like Dan Bongino, the conservative pundit who also parted ways with Fox last week, Mr. Polskin said."

Former OAN employee, broadcast veteran Eddie McCoven, doubts Carlson would make the move "because with such a small reach now, what budget do they have for such a big name?"

"It remains to be seen if OANN will survive the lawsuit it is facing from Dominion," he continued, referencing an ongoing lawsuit between Dominion Voting Systems and several networks, including Newsmax and OAN. Fox News and Dominion notably settled out of court for $787.5 million just days before Carlson's ouster, leading many to wonder if the two are related.

I'd say it's unlikely, since the major TV providers have removed OAN from their systems.

I'll surmise he was fired due to his projected ability to advocate for Republicans and DT in the 2024 Presidential election. Regardless of the other reported reasons of past incidents.

“It's been barely two days since his brutal ouster from Fox News - but Tucker Carlson looks like a man without a care in the world.

The TV firebrand shrugged off the media storm and insisted he was more interested in enjoying a romantic date with his wife Susan as he broke his silence in an exclusive chat with DailyMail.com.

'Retirement is going great so far,' chuckled Carlson, 53, as he emerged from his $5.5 million beach home in Boca Grande, Florida on Tuesday night.

'I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years.'

Pressed on his future, the flame-throwing former host of Tucker Carlson Tonight flashed a broad smile and joked: 'Appetizers plus entree.' …”

In support of Tucker Carlson, I’ll end today’s post with this clip from Tucker’s recent speech at the Heritage Foundation, which, as the tweet said, could be the most important thing Tucker has ever said. He gets it, and he understands it’s time to stop playing games and call things what they really are.

To give you a taste, Tucker defined good and evil:

“Good is characterized by order, calmness — tranquility, peace, whatever you want to call it — lack of conflict, cleanliness. Cleanliness IS next to Godliness. It’s true, it is. And Evil is characterized by their opposite. Violence, hate, disorder, division, disorganization, and filth. So, if you are all in on the things that produce the latter basket of outcomes, what you’re really advocating for is Evil. It’s true… I’m not making a partisan point, at all. I’m just noting what’s super-obvious.”

Here’s the rest of the clip. Enjoy!

Elon Musk Suggests Twitter as New Platform for Tucker Carlson After Fox News Departure

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk suggested Twitter could be a platform where Tucker Carlson could prosper after the Fox News primetime host departed the network on Monday.

Carlson had been a fixture at Fox News since 2009, and had hosted his own primetime “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show from November 2016 until his final installment last Friday. Over the lifespan of the program, Carlson had attracted a large audience and led one of the most popular cable television news shows ever—often attracting more than 3 million viewers per episode.

Carlson’s departure from Fox News has sparked speculation about what he might do next. One America News Network (OANN) founder and CEO Rob Herring has already invited Carlson to begin discussing terms for joining his cable network. Megyn Kelly, a former Fox News host who now hosts a satellite radio show/podcast, told Newsmax that Carlson might go the independent route, saying “He will no longer answer to a corporate master. He will be free to say whatever he wants to say, within the bounds of defamation law, of course, and he’ll be totally unleashed.”
