+1, Awesome. I’m not sure why they choose Hannity but given that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is now also the interim National Security Advisor, it’s worth quickly visiting his perspectives in this new dual role. WATCH: "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

He was our Senator in Florida when we lived there and quite frankly I didn’t think much of him. Now I’m vey impressed with the job he is doing, I guess he just needed the right job and boss to shine.

He’s come a long way from his cotton mouth SOTU rebuttal speech. He’s down right seasoned and set in his principles. I like his political instincts and discernment. He’s made for higher office someday if the opportunity presents. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

I find Rubio more authentic than Vance and in 2028, I'd prefer a Rubio/Vance ticket over Vance/Rubio, but that's not going to happen. Never in my life have I seen a greater change and a more rapid maturing as a politician than Marco Rubio. Today, Secretary Rubio handed the Democrats their collective ass. https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/2016528088914420163

I agree Marco has really opened up and found his inner voice. It seemed like he used to stutter and stammer when he would talk but he is real and talks with genuine confidence when he speaks now. He certainly has found his confidence under Trump. I watched quite a bit of his testimony today and he is easy to listen to and follow. Comes off as genuine and honest. While I like Vance I don’t get the same feeling when he speaks.

If ever there were a Republican candidate to pull in the Hispanic vote, it would be Rubio. Rubio runs circles around anyone that debates him, so the Democrats would love to somehow put a lid on him. The Democrats don't have anyone like him.

I agree. I remember some political pundits were saying that Rubio quitting the senate to serve in the Trump administration was a bad career move, but IMO it was brilliant. He has done eons more now than his entire senate career, and I'm sure he knows it. It's vital to remember that these people we consider heroes will be the targets of crazy congress critters, prosecutors, and everyone with a computer. They will try to destroy our heroes, financially, legally, and illegally. Every single one of Trump's cabinet members has to think of themselves as hunted men, as everyone who supported the American revolutionary cause did. Remember "Our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor?" They weren't kidding then, and it's just as true now. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

Completely agree. He's a political star and deserves every bit of it. And it's funny, I was thinking of this very topic the other day and wondering if JD himself might consider taking the second spot in a run knowing quite well it could be best for the party.

Yep. He has the experience and the judgment. I think he has the balls too.

I’m sure someone can post the back-and-forth between Rubio and Rand Paul regarding the apprehension of Maduro if they want. That is what I want to address. I wasn’t satisfied with Rubio’s response. Paul attempted to trap Rubio in an inconsistency by flipping the scenario and asserting that if a foreign power blockaded the United States and attempted to apprehend a sitting U.S. president, it would “of course” be an act of war. Rubio did not clearly reject that framing. He tried to justify it by citing national interest. I strive for consistent rational arguments. One-way moral or legal arguments are unacceptable. I think being a hypocrite is one of the worst things a person can be. The assumption in Paul’s argument—that reversing the actors changes the classification—is wrong. A limited, targeted seizure does not automatically constitute war regardless of who conducts it. Venezuela would have been justified to defend itself and we would be too if the roles reversed. The danger of baobabs is so little recognized.

The primary process could make it Rubio/Vance instead of Vance/Rubio. Either way, it is a great ticket.
