Well, here in Tennessee, we are currently at 11 degrees, but we expect to get a little colder in the next night or so. In other words, it ain't cold enough freeze the tits off of Dolly Parton, but she may have to insert handwarmers to keep them puppies happy!

Taylor was feeling -22 in Kansas City...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

13* here with a nice dusting of snow and ice. Just enough to make everything white.

We don't get much of it here and when it does it doesn't stay around long.

It won't get above freezing for another 24hrs so it will stay that much longer.

I’ve got a friend in the San Antonio area. The year before last, that deep cold spell hit Texas, there were problems with the grid, and lots of people had damage from frozen pipes—including them.

Hope this cold front is more short-lived, and that residents put in better freeze protection for this winter.
