Jeez Louise! 3:41 in the video: "Is there any idea about legislating them?"

Hey, lunkhead, you were sitting right next to the man when he explained this! Pinhead!!

How long before "Glock switch" appears in rap songs?

Neat gadget

It ain't the guns. It's the shooters. You want to help stop this? Pass out condoms and IUDs and give it a couple of decades..

My advice is to not perform searches for these gadgets.

Never had the chance to shoot a full auto pistol.

Seems like it's pretty damn hard to keep it on target. I guess if you're spraying a crowd you don't care.

These “reporters” are morons….should we try and get enhanced prosecution?

Yeah chuckle head, there’s already laws against having a machine gun….and I bet anyone caught with one is already not allowed to own a gun…

I like how they slipped in that most of the illegal guns are from straw purchases….in my Leo experience, that simply is not the truth. Most, probably 97% of guns we found or seized were stolen. The rest were probably stolen but never reported or didn’t have serial numbers. If we thought joe hood rat had gotten a gun from his girlfriend or someone else he got prosecuted federally so he would go away. We didn’t have many of those. I can think of two in my career for straw purchase. It may be different in Minneapolis and surrounding areas, but I doubt it.

My buddy owned a gun store and if people were in there on the phone asking someone else about a gun, he would just tell them what they were doing looked like a straw purchase-he would explain it to them and ask the to leave and tell them he would be able to sell a gun to them.

Public ridicule of officers who do these stories wouldn't hurt.

In his opinion, all is lost because of 50 round magazines. Ridiculousness.

The reporter's idea is to create more laws about what is already illegal. Idiots.

Further information, a more balanced report.

A report from 2019. The reports says the switches are coming from China. That figures. Also, as mentioned in the first clip I posted, these gadgets can be 3D-printed, but they are not as reliable. The printing of these switches makes stopping the manufacture and use of these devices next to impossible.

They're out there. They're really only concerning in the sense that they're in the possession of morons that can't hit what they're aiming at without holding a bullet hose.

I've got a couple of them (legally, via my 07/02 status) and they are indeed quite enjoyable.

I’m sure they’re prosecuting those arrested with this switch too.

No, really.

Well, it's a federal offense. I've never had the impression the feds decline to prosecute anyone illegally in possession of automatic weapons or auto sears.

I got outta hand once, as a youngster and told a neighbor lady where to go. My Mother, bless her heart, made me go get a switch. I knew what she was up to so I got the smallest branch I could find... Big Grin. Still got my ass whooped good.

Over the past several months scrolling through YouTube shorts videos, I have seen at least 6 or so videos with these switches in them. Young urban youths posing with their Glocks. Several were taken inside a vehicle and they filmed themselves emptying a mag into a wooded area as they drove by. Definitely didn't strike me a legal ownership.

No shit?

In all seriousness what changed? My experience was The Fed was generally not interested in prosecuting firearms offenses unless there was a body, there was something special, and/or the case was a stone cold lock.

But It’s been a while since I was on the job

It wasn't long ago R. Lee Ermey and Jesse Duff were shooting full auto Glock on TV and youtube. When bad people see a chance to do illegal things.

I recognized that one scene in that video of the recent shootout in Houston. Donut Operator did a nice breakdown of that incident (in his typical Donut Operator style). Wild stuff.

I'll try and embed the video, but it's age restricted so you'll likely have to go to the link.
