I'll add another vote for a Kershaw Leek. I've had mine for ~12 years or so and I can't think of one gripe that I have about it. I've shipped it back to Kershaw a few times for sharpening and to put a new spring in it and the service has always been solid. This is excellent advice and you'll enjoy perusing the gamut of choices you have. Look for the main knife makers and peruse their websites. ZT knives, benchmade, ckrt, etc. I'm sure you'll find at least one or two that you'll like, "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. Yes I do, excellent knives. I use to be a Benchmade guy until the their political BS came to light, then I sold them all and swore I'd never own another. I lean more towards Spyderco, CRKT, ZT, Civivi and a few others these days. If you can live without the glass breaker, I'd strongly recommend a Spyderco ParaMilitary 2 (PM2). I have an older version M-16 that is really solid. Mine is partially serrated and the steel's not as good as the one you've picked. I think you'll be pleased. "Cedat Fortuna Peritis" | |||

After reading Para's stong endorsement I ordered the American Law Man. I also ended up ordering the Code 4 and a Tuff Lite serrated for my Son. Really had no use for any of them. This place can sure siphon money out of a bank account. | |||

Yup, I've still yet to figure out a practical way to carry my Kobun. May relegate it to truck duty, it's just a bit too big & difficult to access, for boot carry. The Enemy's gate is down. | |||

I know there's a lot of CRK owners on here, just not sure how many actually EDC them. Me, I'd prefer a slightly cheaper blade in the event of loss. The Enemy's gate is down. | |||
