Well I'll be waiting on the special OJ Chase edition, White paint, comes with a 357 and a pair of gloves..... And I want it in an Automatic so my escape driver doesn't stall out and get me video'd with some over zealous cops yanking my fat ass out and tasering me in the nads then end up flopping around the intersection for the entertainment of a buncha internet yahoos...

Don’t forget the always enjoyable “OJ onboard” sticker you could put on your white Bronco. Big Grin

Ford still offers manuals for the Mustang and for that reason alone I will remain hopeful until proven wrong. This means the soulless bean counters and idiots who love autos have not out numbered the people who actually like to drive a fun car. Good job Ford! Now do it with a truck. Make something FUN!

The powers that be at ford HAVE TO KNOW that retro styling worked with the Mustang in a big way. I really hope they can impress with the Bronco.

I’m in the market for a 4x4 with a drop top, Offroad capability and towing capacity.

Please Ford, don’t eff it up!!!!

I am a big Ford fan and one of their bigger cheerleaders.
I am a huge fan of the Mustang. Have owned three and still own one.

But they have been touting a new Bronco is coming for so long now with zero details is their vision the same as years ago when they first said it was actually said it was coming.

The other big difference between the Mustang is that it has never been reintroduced. It was slowly adapted and changed with the times.
The Bronco has been gone for nearly 25 years much harder to fully recreate an Icon.

Look at the attempts to bring back Icons that were not really good.

GTO
NSX
Supra

Can’t think of one that has been brought back that really knocked it out of the park.
Camaro might be the closest but it’s getting killed.

They have been claiming this for at least 5 years.
1st claim was a full sized itineration like the last generation Bronco now it is supposed to be a smaller SUV aimed at the Jeep with better mirrors.
It’s arriving for 2020 now they have said for a couple years yet have given no details of any substance.

I would love Ford to get this right I just don’t see it happening but will be very glad to be wrong.

Ok what about reintroductions that have worked?

Challenger
Charger
FJ Cruiser
Camaro

Absence makes the heart grow fonder so long as Ford doesn’t fuck it up monumentally like Toyota did with their God Fucking Awful as fuck BMW Supra. (I FUCKING HATE that car)

They are capable of it. Are they willing and smart enough to do it?

Hopefully we will see soon.

Hey, has anybody seen the new Everest yet? I've been looking for a picture of it but can't seem to locate one.

If the new Bronco looks somewhat similar to the '66-'77 AND has a solid front axle then I'll be really interested. Not too concerned about the motor. That being said, I fully expect it to have an IFS.

Then head on over to the Jeep dealer given your requirements. Ford is dropping the ball in a number of different places (the Ranger being the most recent given Nissan sold more ancient Frontiers than Ford sold brand new Rangers a couple months ago), and my bet, the new Bronco will be a total flop too.Ford only seems to be able to score hits with the F150 and Mustang.

I think (unfortunately) that is what is going to happen Bigdeal.

I’m not exactly thrilled with the prospect of buying a Jeep (Chrysler product) but sadly I don’t see anything else that checks all my boxes.

Didn't look at the previous page of this thread, did you? It's the second picture at the top of the page and was reposted 5 or so more times.

Back to the topic:

The new Ranger isn't what the people who are nostalgic for the old Ranger want. People that wanted an updated version of the small pickup the old Ranger was are of course going to say Ford missed the mark. They really shouldn't have called it a Ranger; they should have called it an F100.

The Bronco could go either way at this point.

Don't lament the move to FCA. FCA is doing some really great stuff with their vehicles. I've driven a couple 2019 RAM 1500's so far and they are a huge improvement over previous RAM offerings and a far better interior package and ride quality than any truck manufacturer out there. Barring any new developments, my next truck will likely be a RAM 1500 (or 2500 diesel if I hit the lottery jackpot Smile).

FCA is crap. I’ve got family that works for them. I hear all kinds of stuff from them. Most of it bad. I would go with a Garbage Motors truck before Ram.

Yeah, but the new JL completely blows. At least in my opinion.

You don't think you'd hear all sorts of horror stories out of any of the big three manufacturers if you had family or friends working at each of them? Come on. Roll Eyes I'm super picky with vehicles and have driven the 2019 F150, 2019 Silverado, 2019 GMC Denali, and 2019 RAM. IMO, the GM products are miles behind, and the RAM tops the F150 for fit and finish, interior design, ride quality, and pricing. And looking at the reported sales numbers, apparently I'm not the only one with that opinion as RAM continues to thump GM and narrows Ford's lead in the segment. https://www.tfltruck.com/2019/...es-full-size-trucks/
