It was definitely great but I’m sure Whitney Houston will never be knocked off the throne. I would prefer that the artist actually sings the song like Chris Stapleton did instead of lip sinking it like Whitney but that’s just me. | |||

Hmmmm. At this point in our country's shit history, it's gonna take waaaaaaaaaay more than a performance of the National Anthem to bring it back to the right tracks. It was OK and much better than a lot of them... but I'm not a fan of his mainly because it is his thing to take songs and sing them at half or even slower speed than normal, while some do work that way, sometime it drives me nuts. Same here to some degree, I didn't even listen all the way through. Hey, entitled to my opinion! Endeavor to persevere. | |||

Totally disagree. Sorry guys, but that was totally butchered. Can't stand to listen to the finish, the moment he started singing. Not just with this guy, but every last one of them celebrities who, in the past, have tried to reinvent the truly beautiful flow of the anthem with all the nonsense. They all sound disgusting to me. I agreed with a friend that it was the best since Whitney Houston, but her rendition is still, without a doubt, the best rendition of the national anthem that I’ve ever heard. Credit where it’s due - her performance still brings a tear to my eye and chills to my skin. Her rendition has still not been bested in my opinion. “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. That was not very good in my book. I dislike the electric guitar with the National Anthem and he just did not really hit those notes like they deserve. Then that fly over was lame!! Here is some no namer crushing the anthem better than that and one of the baddest flyovers at a game to date. I haven't watched ANY pro sports since the Tennessee Titans refused to come out of the locker room for the Anthem way back when that shit started up... I did follow the link in the OP to YouTube to see what was up... Turns out that was a mistake... Sorry Boss. Endeavor to persevere. | |||

This is my mistake, for not getting ahead of this and letting my wishes be know about discussion of this shameful crap. I'm embarrassed for the human race tonight, how easily we get pulled into things which damage us as a nation. It would be kind to call this spectacle worthless. The truth is, though, that it's much worse than that. I assumed you guys knew how I felt about this amoral circus, this gathering of people who shit on this country.
