Impressions of the interior versus the C7?

You won't see this kind ROI on any other new car for a long time, C8's are bringing close to and in some cases over $100K at auction since you can't buy one unless you had it on order, or, pay $90K at a dealer for one not pre-ordered.

Congrats, now go make some serious ROI and order a 2021...

Yep. Going crazy over at Corvette Forum.

Personally I would never overpay for a car but some guys just want the new car that bad they will overpay by a lot.

I never thought I'd be lucky enough to own one Corvette, but I've had a C5Z06CE, a C6 base coupe, a C6GS and a C7Z06. Corvettes really are amazing cars.

The C8 Stingray didn't really interest me so I bought a new ZL1. But seeing your car has sparked my interest. I think I'll wait to see what the C8Z06 looks like. Nice car!

Meanwhile, here in UK, where there is an avid Corvette following, the one dealer is 'offering' them - base model only - for £130,000.

That, gentlemen, is way north of $150,000.

The dealer I bought my ZL1 from had a black basic C8 Stingray. They sold it for $100,000 with multiple disappointed buyers who wanted it.

If/when GM releases the C8Z06, there should be some used Stingrays on the market.

So I guess borrowing it to haul my couch across the county is right out the window ?

does it at least have a trailer hitch for the riding mower trailer?

johnw91498,
Beautiful car! Enjoy!
Cheers! Merry Christmas!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

John, could you share about the ordering process and whatnot? Did you pay retail? Premium?

The ordering process was a mess. My dealer had an allotment of 72 Corvettes and all of them were spoken for. My dealer did a lottery to determine which person got which allotment. I got lucky and my allotment was 11. That was in September.
In November, my dealer asked me to come in and configure my car. Then, he sent the specs to Bowling Green.
GM was supposed to start building the Corvette, but they had a strike that lasted 2 months.
In March, Corvid hit and the GM plant closed down. The allotments to dealers were cut in half.
In August, the GM plant closed down again due to parts shortage. Corvid was affecting many of the subcontractors.

I paid $59,995 plus taxes and DMV fees. I had a contract with my dealer.

Thank you. What an awesome deal. Such a fantastic looking car.

Biggest change, no shifter

They're buttons, just like in a Lambo.

There's also more leg room and the GT seats are very comfortable.

I also like the Infocenter

Lots of customization to the car

Driving her puts a huge smile on my face. I have people who own Ferrari's come up to me and ask about her.

A guy came up to me while I was fueling her up and asked if I wanted to sell her. He offered $90k, but I couldn't do it. I love her too much.

Out with the wife today and we saw one on the road. She commented that she really disliked the styling. I replied for her not to be concerned. I told her after I win the lottery and buy one, I'd never ask her to ride in it, I'd only take my girlfriend out in it. Cool

Saw one in highlighter green today at a small show.
Not a fan of that color, but respect the performance.
