Wow! Stunning!

Congrats on your new ride! May it bring you many safe miles of smiles (and not too many speeding tickets)!

I am curious about the 15 month wait.

It that the general backlog / lead-time they’re running or because of your options list or because you placed an order well in advance of the model year production, or. . .?

Enjoy!

The C8 is highly desired at this point in time. Many are selling well over MSRP.

Truly the only GM product I'd actually consider owning. Very nice. Now start planning for the twin turbo upgrade. Smile

I was supposed to get my car in April, but corvid changed all that. The GM plant closed twice and pushed my delivery to November...

After getting rid of my last Corvette, I thought I was done.
I may reconsider.

Wow. I really love the looks of the C8.

John, could you share about the ordering process and whatnot? Did you pay retail? Premium?

The ordering process was a mess. My dealer had an allotment of 72 Corvettes and all of them were spoken for. My dealer did a lottery to determine which person got which allotment. I got lucky and my allotment was 11. That was in September.
In November, my dealer asked me to come in and configure my car. Then, he sent the specs to Bowling Green.
GM was supposed to start building the Corvette, but they had a strike that lasted 2 months.
In March, Corvid hit and the GM plant closed down. The allotments to dealers were cut in half.
In August, the GM plant closed down again due to parts shortage. Corvid was affecting many of the subcontractors.

I paid $59,995 plus taxes and DMV fees. I had a contract with my dealer.

Park it, cover it, register to sell it in Scotsdale at BJ Auction, you'll make at least $30K in profit, put a deposit down on a 2021.

You won't see this kind ROI on any other new car for a long time, C8's are bringing close to and in some cases over $100K at auction since you can't buy one unless you had it on order, or, pay $90K at a dealer for one not pre-ordered.

Congrats, now go make some serious ROI and order a 2021...

My wife, before we met years ago, used to own a Corvette and a Ford Pinto. She kept the Pinto.
