And how is that not payment? The value of the season tickets is high enough that they should issue a 1099 on them. All other game shows issue 1099's for windfalls had on their shows. This is no different, and it's PAYMENT.

Ha! NFL tickets. I would have told her, "I've reconsidered. Can I have the money instead?"

So, where are the big revelations?

...and none will be forthcoming. The information we have now is just about all the information we're going to have. The police may release more details of what was in the room, or some more gory photographs or perhaps they'll amend their confused and incorrect timeline so that it's confused in some new way, but these things won't tell people want they really want to know, which is "why?". The answer to that question died with the shooter and that's the way he wanted it. Eventually, this is going to begin to dawn on people but it's going to take quite some time for those who are determined to try to make somethng out of nothing.

Mandalay Bay shooting hero Jesus Campos was pressured into giving his only interview to Ellen DeGeneres because the giant company that owns the Las Vegas casino feared he would spill the beans about the shooting timeline if he was grilled by real journalists, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

MGM is worried that families of the 58 people murdered as well as many of the 546 injured in the Mandalay Bay massacre will launch lawsuits potentially worth billions of dollars against the company, sources tell DailyMail.com.

And they thought Campos might not keep his story straight under the pressure of the TV lights and tough questioning.

That is why Campos, 25, appeared on a daytime chat show hosted by a fast-talking, dancing comedienne, rather than take questions from TV hardhitters such as Fox News’ Sean Hannity, NBC News or ABC News.

‘MGM was behind the decision to call off all the interviews and did a deal with Ellen, knowing she would not play hardball on the timeline as long as she had the exclusive,’ a TV insider told DailyMail.com.

Campos had originally agreed to do five interviews, all on Thursday last week, but suddenly went missing, his union boss, who was helping set up the deal, told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview.

David Hickey, president of the Michigan-based International Union, Security Police and Fire Professionals of America, would not confirm that MGM was behind the decision, but said the company certainly influenced Campos.

‘I was in a meeting with MGM’s upper management and they were definitely concerned about how tough someone like Hannity would be on him and they voiced their opinions,’ Hickey said.

He said all sides had agreed parameters for the interviews. ‘Everyone knew he wasn’t to talk about security protocols, staffing or training or give out names of employees.’

But he said the company — that, like most of Vegas’s casino industry, obsessively controls what employees are allowed to say to the media — was pressuring Campos not to give too much away.

‘I thought they were being negative, telling him that someone was going to be tough and how they were worried about his health — it wasn’t the thing he needed to hear four hours before the interviews were going to begin.’

Hickey said he met with the MGM executives at a location in Las Vegas where Campos was staying. They met in the living room but he wanted a word with some of the management team in private so they went into the bedroom.

When they returned, Campos had gone, and Hickey said he hasn’t seen or heard from him since.

The next thing he knew the security official had bailed on the five interviews. Then he learned on Monday that instead of appearing on a news show he would go on Ellen.

*******************

I would be surprised if MGM lawyers did not dictate / script the entire "interview".

That guy could be interviewed by the ghost of Edward R. Murrow himself and we still wouldn't learn anything new about this incident.

What a joke

The only interview I'm interested in will take place under oath though "I don't remember" will likely be uttered a lot.

It turns out that all this intrigue and secrecy bullshit has been orchestrated by MGM because they realize after setting up five interviews for this know-nothing, that it might end up biting them in court.

You've got a boatload of lawyers on this thing and they didn't figure this out until the last moment. Humans as a race- we're not as smart as we like to think ourselves to be. It's written all over the ridiculous aftermath of this incident.

^ It sure looks like it, doesn't it, that these delays and timeline questions are likely driven by MGM trying to avoid lawsuits, either entirely, or more so than any other reason.

Figures.

DeGeneres also kept gushing over Campos being a hero.

It would be to MGM advantage to have their security guard widely viewed as a hero who saved lives. Especially when the inevitable lawsuits come about

Yep, exactly what I saw. Very little and ambiguous info, Ellen praising them as Hero's. Them deflecting praise to first responders. Offer of cash was turned down, but feel good bonus of tickets and meet and greet with favorite teams.

Wow, what Hero's these guys are! MGM acted quickly. Lives saved in the hotel, God knows how many other saved by their actions. AND they want no glory or money from their story.

Only question this brings up is how much was the check from casino to maintenance man and security guard?

a more detailed pic of the corridor

early reports implied Campos was shot very near Paddock's door, but he was actually almost 150 feet down the hall

I have assumed all along that dead dirtbag was the one and only shooter, despite a lot of stuff not adding up, and this whole "investigation" going sideways and turning into a circus! I'm not saying one way or the other what I believe at this point, other than I simply no longer know after watching the following, but I do have serious doubts now.

You can view this and decide for yourself, but as far as I'm concerned, this guy offers the most credible, scientific evidence of ANYTHING that has been given since October 1st! Feel free to make your own decisions of course, but he shows no signs of being a kook, a weirdo, or anything other than an above-board fella attempting to apply scientific principles to the evidence at hand and drawing the only conclusion possible!

Be careful with stuff like this.

I remember a program showing audio experts analyzing the tape from the motorcycle following JFK’s limo coming around Dealey Plaza. They very meticulously timed all the sounds, figured out there were more than 3 shots fired, more than one shooter, one was near the picket fence.

It turns out they had neglected to take into account echoes of the sounds from all the other buildings, or something like that, completely refutting their analysis.

Interesting but hardly conclusive.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Absolutely agreed! I find it VERY interesting indeed, but will NOT say it is conclusive by any means. I hope I didn't come across as meaning that... if so I'll edit my post! Eek

Just reread my post and I did say I wasn't sure one way or another, nor was saying one way or another. I simply wanted to put this out there and let folks make up their own minds what to make of it. I find it compelling on many levels as it is the most "scientific" analysis so far without any kooky conspiracy crap thrown in. As far as the potential for error when dealing with acoustics and sonic reflections with all the glass in the area, yeah I recognize that for sure...

Mike Adams should though showed all the sound waves, broke them out and timed them visually in the video.. also should explain more on how he can explain away the possibility of echos..

I have been involved in investigating enough chaotic incidents on a small scale to know that many accounts will be conflicting and confusing, even when the witnesses are professional observers. Give them a few minutes to talk among themselves and it gets worse. With an incident of this magnitude, the number of theories will mushroom to such an extent that we will never see all the angles completely nailed down. The physical evidence tells the best story when it corroborates testimony, but even then it will not tell the whole story. Law Enforcement will do a pretty good job at painting a picture of what happened and the shrinks will theorize until they are dizzy, but there will be enough gaps to provide the tinfoil hat crowd with material for many years to come.

As of yesterday 6 police cars, with police in them,
still had the shooting site cordoned off and the investigation is still happening.
