Clue #2: It's not about John the Baptist or any of the apostles.

Upon the death of Jesus, the veil (curtain) in the temple was supernaturally torn in half. This was not depicted in the series.

Clue #3: It has nothing to do with the Romans, the pharisees, or the sadducees, or Herod, or establishment elites.

Somebody once told me that they never actually crucified men by "nailing" them to a cross, but they tied their hands and feet and then broke their legs below the knees and let them hang like that till they die?

I believe the series depicts Nicodemus coming to Jesus during the day, which is also wrong.

An angel appears to Joseph in a dream and tells him to take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt (Matthew 2:13) - in the movie it's the 3 wise men who tell them to flee.

This is my guess.

The crucifixion was depicted on a cross, whereas what was actually used was a "T", not a cross.

Hmmm, second guess. It's the money. 30 pieces of silver was the amount paid for the betrayal according to the bible. Yet, in the movie, they didn't use 30 pieces of silver and it was not paid/used for the betrayal. Therefore, one of the biggest sayings in life about "selling out for 30 pieces of silver" was botched by the director.

Second guess: Jesus is depicted with long hair, whereas most likely he would have had short hair.

Nazereth wasn't founded yet in the time of Jesus. Although the Nazereth in "Jesus of Nazereth" is meant to impart the bonifieds related to the prophecy that the Messiah would be of low or common origin, Nazareth wasn't founded until the 3rd century AD.

Does it have anything to do with the cripple that Jesus heals? As they are pulling him through the crowd, you can clearly tell it is a dummy in the first part of that scene.

In the Bible the man was lowered through a hole in the roof made by his friends. In the movie there is no roof. He is just pulled up and over the wall into the open area.

The blind beggar had no sores, then they appeared as Jesus applied the salve, and then disappeared at the water. He also makes eye contact with at least two of the men as he says he was born blind, yet his eyes are also clear.

Further, the Bible states Bartimaeus called out to Jesus asking for "the Son of David to have mercy on him and to heal his blindness" (paraphrased), and was healed immediately, with no application of a poultice.

I was going to point out it wasn't filmed in Nazareth though the lepers not really being sick but just having rags is a typical gimme in movies about the Christ.

Not a factual or historical error, but definitely a continuity error.

After Jesus unties the paralyzed man, the man sits up. His headscarf is draped over his right shoulder, and his left shoulder is exposed, as the man had been laying on his right. Jesus extends his hand to help the man up. Frame cuts to looks of awe from the crowd. When the camera cuts back to Jesus pulling the man to his feet, the scarf is covering both shoulders. Cut again to the crowd, and when we cut back to the healed man, his left shoulder appears to be exposed again.

(See Mark 2:3-12)

Thanks for the opportunity to dig back into my Bible again!
