I'm the kind of guy that sits down to eat and eats untill my belt is tight. Then I unbuckle my belt and eat some more. Once I can't take full breaths of air because my stomach has filled my chest cavity that my lungs can no longer expand, then I settle on dessert.

That about summs up my ammo hoarding. You can never have to much, but I can't justify stockpiling anymore. I typically shoot 2 to 4 hundred rounds in handguns and the same for rifles 3 times a month. I go over sometimes depending on the weather, my mood, who I bring with me and if I'm in a serious drill mood or just plinking for fun.

That is around 1 to 1.2k rounds on average per month for handgun and the same for rifle, I've been purchasing multiple 1k round cases for the past seven or eight months each month. Every one started undercutting each other trying to make sales, free shipping, no taxes. 1500 rounds of pmc for 239 to your door, multiple rebates, double bulk case of lake city for 625, how do you not splurge????

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm not even shopping for deals anymore, Simply ran out of room.

“Two is one, One is none.”

The best spare parts supply you can have is a second interchangeable gun. Then start in on consumable parts that fit both.

My ammo supply is currently more than I need and far less than I want. Space and finances are the limiting factors. Now mostly space!

Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

I never feel like I have enough but I’m sure the libs would call me a lunatic! I’m stocked deep on magazine especially AR / Glock mags ( still buy AR mags any time I go into brick and mortar gun stores) and .22lr. I reload for most the ammo I shoot the most. I have more powder than I know what to do with, wish I had as many primers to match the powder! Most Walmart trips I bring home at least 325 more .22 !

I learned this when I became an EMT.

I actually use this in my every day life. I always have a second, a back-up, or a plan B.

Still buying ammo when I can.

I have a fair amount of 9mm Luger and 5.56x45, a modest amount of .22 LR and 12-gauge shotshells, a little .380 (low priority), and now I have a new caliber to add: 5.7x28. This was all acquired a little at a time (every week when I was working) over several years. Only recently have I started shooting it. (Long story.)
