The four friends are actually the longhorn, the tiger, the cougar, and the bear. They are all located in Houston, and they each donated a body part to an ailing orangutan.

All are statues/sculptures. The orangutan's plaque calls him the "old man of the forest," so the orangutan is the "father" of the other 4 "animals" in the park/"forest."
