Always have Cholula Original on hand, but if you want a bit more smoky flavor try Cholula Chipotle.

You actually sent me a giant bottle of Lime Guacamaya as a Karma several years ago, and I did really like it. It's not available in any stores around here, but I see that they have it on Amazon now.

I'm old school I guess. When I want/need some flavor or heat I just reach for my jug of Tabasco red. It's worked for all these years...no need to change. Besides, there aren't too many things that it is needed on IMO. There are so many other spices out there that will enhance a food's flavor better than cayenne juice. Not taking anything away from it mind you...it has it's place, but there's better ways to liven up a meal. Of course...it's all individual choice. To each his own. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

The first time I ate at a Tijuana Flats, I was impressed by their pepper sauce assortment. Probably twenty or thirty different ones to try. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I saw Cholula Chili Lime on the store shelf, checked it on the web, and found it to be a bit low on the SHU scale. Can’t find the SHU rating right now though. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Pipe Smoker, Serious about crackers

Personally, I find Tobasco to have too much vinegar for my taste.

It’s pretty good but I’m more a fan of Tabasco Green.

I've always been a Tabasco loyalist I like Siracha on eggs and such though Anyone tried Tiger Sauce?, went through about 20 bottles one year, used it on everything. My very favorite green sauce is this stuff, you have to use it sparingly as it stings but MMMMMM it’s good.

If you want something tasty give this a shot. I can only find it on Amazon and it's expensive (about $13-$14 bucks) but it's GOOD. When I first got it I was underwhelmed but after a few uses it kind of clicked and man, it's like crack to me now. It has a good heat with an intense flavor. Because of the price I ration my uses, only a couple of days a week then I switch back to Trappy's Mexi-Pep or Texas Pete's Hotter. But occasionally for my fix I'll pour a dollop in a spoon and drink it like cought syrp lol...it's a treat!

I always have both original and green Cholula on hand. The green is absolutely awesome! I got a bad bottle of original once, tasted metallic. They sent me a few coupons for free bottles so I tried some different flavors. That's when I discovered the green. My girlfriend likes it best too. These go to eleven.

Huge fan of the green. Also like the habanero. ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

Lubs me some Tabasco brand pepper sauce. I used to prefer Frank's. In my opinion, all the Mexican hot sauces are good for is Mexican food. ____________________________ NRA Life Member, Annual Member GOA, MGO Annual Member

That's partially true. Mexican hot sauces are also good on some other things, like eggs and some styles of beans. But Louisiana/Franks-style hot sauces are definitely more versatile, being good on a wider variety of things.

I agree 100% with this. I haven't bought a bottle of Tabasco in years and probably never will again. Jim ________________________ "If you can't be a good example, then you'll have to be a horrible warning" -Catherine Aird

I really like Cholula, used to eat it on Ritz Crackers as a snack. I’ve never tried to green, as every green sauce I’ve had was much hotter to me than I care for. I do have to plug my local favorite though, Texas Pete, made right here in Winston-Salem, NC (makes a lot of sense, right?). I use it on eggs, gumbo, just about anything to bring up the spice, and Ritz crackers too on occasion!
