I finally picked up a bottle of the green and damn that is some good hot sauce. Zero vinegar is a plus.

The thing I like about Cholula Green Pepper hot sauce, it the flavor is very good but not at the cost of 'a little' heat....

the Poblano peppers are great balance for my taste; so many 'hot sauce' recipes are really too hot for any actual flavor to be noticeable.

Very good product as I love the distinct taste of the jalapeño & poblano peppers

Bought a bottle yesterday based on the info you all provided. It will be a stocked item now!

I may just have to give the green Cholula a try next time I am in the grocery store.

Well, I made it to the grocery store yesterday, and purchased a bottle of "The Green". I grilled some chicken thighs last night and gave it a try.....a BIG THUMBS UP on flavor!! Not a super hot sauce, but has a killer flavor. Thanx for the info..

I saw this on the shelf and took a chance.

Got a little bit of hit and somewhat tasty. It's fine for now. May try something different again next but would probably buy again.

I’ll have to try some of the Cholula Green sauce. I also love jalapeño and poblano peppers.

If hot sauce is too hot, it doesn’t enhance or complement the taste of the food; it totally dominates and obliterates the taste. I don’t even buy the extreme hot sauces anymore. Cool

I always have Cholula original and green pepper on hand. I also like the Chipotle flavor one.

I make my own hot sauce, with a mix of chili peppers, a little vinegar, lemon and lime juice a little salt and a touch of sugar. Man it is delicious.

But for store bought, I like the Cholula hot sauce. I also love me some Dat'l Do-it Devil Drops and Dat't Do-it Hot Sauce. The local place I used to get it from closed, so after looking for another local source and coming up empty, I ordered it from Amazon.

I'm going to be making me some Minorcan Clam Chowder this coming weekend!

Agreed, Iguana makes a fine product. We go through a pretty good amount of the Mean Green and Gold varieties.

Maybe the same heat level but much less vinegar.

Which is less vinegar? Frank's or Cholula?

I was looking for an alternative to Tabasco and couldn't decide on one. The one thing I want is less vinegar than Tabasco.

I want something for eggs, hash browns and such.

Cholula would have less vinegar. Franks, Tobasco and a lot of the American formulations involving tobasco peppers tend to go really heavy on the vinegar. For your purposes, you might look into a sriracha ketchup , it’s excellent for breaksfast foods.

Thank you for mentioning this, I went and bought a bottle of this. "It is good stuff Maynard". I put it on burgers, fries, just about anything I would have put ketchup on.

Not for the heat/habanero lover, but I love Tiger Sauce. It's got a lot of flavor and I think they might add some sweet to it. Hot enough to know you've spiced things up, but mild enought that you can add a lot to things and really up the flavor profile.
I mix it up with ketchup for the fries at my favorite burger joint every week.

Tiger Sauce is good, so is Dragon Sauce, both made by Try Me brand. My only gripe is the sodium content, so I tend to go sparingly with them. Looks like they make an habanero lime version of the tiger sauce. Their Yucatán Gold habanero sauce is delicious, especially for a cheap go-to.
