I wonder if this asshole will be reelected....

(from Newsweek).."Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) walked out before President Donald Trump could complete his State of the Union address on Tuesday night, outraged by the "fake" narrative he believes the president was presenting".

Looks like I spoke too soon earlier - the columnist from the local paper has updated his opinion regarding Limbaugh.

Title of article?

Found this at the Brit’s “Daily Mail” web page. It appears that “evil Queen Nancy” has been caught on camera pre-tearing the speech papers during the entire speech.

Lay you odds that this won’t make it into the American news media.

Interesting about the pre planned event from Pelosi.

But I hated reading it because I knew the anti-Trump is strong with the Daily Mail UK.

There should be lasting ramifications for Pelosi tearing up the State Of The Union (SOTU) speech.

From here-on-out whenever a Republican President is delivering a SOTU speech and the Speaker of the House is a Democrat (Socialist) the speech should be provided as laminated pages in a binder which prohibits removal of individual pages.

No more fiddling around with individual pages and no more tearing up of the SOTU speech.

Laminate, laminate, laminate as a reminder of the petulant Democratic Speakers action.

Practicing tearing it is a pretty "5 minutes to Wapner" move. Maybe she was making sure Trump didn't have it printed on Kevlar paper or something she's heard those Millenials talk about on Facespace/Mybook.

(Not to self: Next year have State of the Union speach printed on Kevlar paper). If she couldn't have ripped that paper, man how weak would that have made her look?

Apparently, what Speaker Pelosi did is actually a crime, with serious penalties:
quote:
18 US code 2071 states:

www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2071

(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.

It's not as if she can deny doing it--the whole country saw her do it on TV.

I believe the document is required by law to be presented to the Speaker of the House, the speech is not.

What is the sequence of this? I read a claim that Pelosi started things by not properly introducing the President. The President then handed over the speech. Then came the handshake.
The other articles have the sequence as hand over the speech, then the handshake, then Pelosi introducing the President.
Last, Did the President and VP Pence shake hands? What’s the tradition?
